This kheer is as delicious to eat as it is easy to make. In making this kheer, I will be using roasted oats along with the aroma of saffron and cardamom to double the taste.

What's special about it - In the kheer cooked on a cold-cold low flame, the flavor of aromatic almonds along with the aroma of saffron, cardamom, chopped nuts looks wonderful to eat.

Does it take a lot of time to make - Kheer is also made of rice, but the time it takes to make rice kheer, it does not take even half the time to make this mango kheer. It takes 10-15 minutes to make this kheer. So isn't it a wonderful thing?

When to serve - You can serve this Mango Kheer as a sweet dish after lunch or dinner. You can also serve it in a hurry in front of unexpected guests, and you can get praise.

Prepration Time : 5-7 Minutes Cooking Time : 15-20 Minutes Total Time : 20 Minutes For : 4 serving

Ingredients:

  • 1 liter + 1 cup full cream milk
  • 1/2 cup roasted oats
  • 1 cup mango pulp (made of 3 medium sized mangoes)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 4-5 saffron strands
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 6-7 Cashews - Almonds (chopped)
  • Finely chopped mango (for garnishing)

How to make Mango kheer -

  • Cook the milk on high flame till it comes to a boil.
  • Now mash the roasted beef with your hands and add it to the milk.
  • Let the flame cook on low to medium flame for 5-7 minutes or till the java becomes soft.
  • Keep stirring the kheer from time to time with the help of a ladle, so that it does not stick to the bottom.
  • When the java becomes soft, add saffron and cardamom powder and mix it.
  • Mix sugar and bring it to a boil on high flame.
  • Turn off the gas
  • When it cools down a bit, mix the mango pulp in the kheer well.
  • Now keep it in the fridge to cool down.
  • Serve chilled kheer garnished with chopped nuts, chopped mango pieces.

Suggestion -

  • Use only non-fibre mango pulp.
  • When the kheer is a cart, mix some cold / hot milk and make it according to you.
  • If the mango is too sweet, then reduce the amount of sugar.
  • A few drops of rose water can also be added to enhance the taste.
