The keto diet is a popular low carbohydrate, high-fat diet that promotes the consumption of high fat, low carbohydrate, and moderate protein meals. The keto diet, also referred to as the ketogenic diet was introduced in the 1920’s as a diet-focused remedy for acute epilepsy.

Patients showed drastic signs of improvement as well as moderate to extreme fat loss. The diet encourages the release of fat-soluble molecules called ketones, eventually forcing the body into a state of fat burning called ketosis.

Keto Berry Smoothie

Serves 4

Prep time: 5 minutes

Total time: 10 minutes


2 cups frozen strawberries

2 cups frozen raspberries

1 cup frozen blueberries

2 ½ cups coconut milk

1 cup spinach


Blend all the ingredients in a blender by adding the coconut milk first and then the fruit. If the mixture is too thick, add some water.

Keto Yogurt

Time: 2 minutes


100g plain greek unsweetened yogurt

1 tbsp natural peanut butter

1 packet stevia

1 drop vanilla extract



1. Add the peanut butter to the yogurt, mix until well combined.

2. Add the rest of the ingredients including the fresh berries if you wish.

Keto Cereal

Serves 1-2

Time: 2 minutes


2 cups roasted almonds, chopped

1 cup roasted walnuts, chopped

1 cup shredded coconut

1-2 cups almond milk

Stavia (to taste)


Combine all ingredients in a bowl and add the almond milk and stevia.

Keto Cream Cheese Pancakes

Serves 2

Time: 3 minutes per pancake(cooking time)


2 oz cream cheese

2 eggs

1 stevia packet

½ tsp cinnamon

Butter to cook


Combine the eggs with the cream cheese in a bowl and whisk until well combined

Add the stevia and cinnamon

Grease a frying pan with butter over medium/high heat and cook the pancakes on both sides until golden brown. Flip when bubbles begin to form on one side, cook for about 1.5 minutes on each side.

Keto Cheese Waffles

Serves 1

Time: 6 minutes


1 egg

½ cup mozarella cheese, shredded


Heat the waffle maker

Whisk the egg and add the cheese

Place in waffle maker for approximately 4 minutes

Egg and Ham Rolls

Time: 10 minutes


6 eggs

14 ham slices

2 cups baby spinach,chopped


Sea salt to taste


1.Whisk the eggs in a large mixing bowl, add salt to taste

2.Heat the butter in a frying over medium -high heat

3. Add the chopped baby spinach to the pan and saute for 30 seconds

4.Add the eggs and stir to form scrambled eggs

5. Place the eggs into the ham slices and roll up

Protein Smoothie Bowl

Serves 1

Time: 5 minutes


⅔ cup frozen blueberries

1 medium avocado

2 tbsp almond butter

1 ½ cup almond milk/coconut milk

More berries and shredded coconut for topping


1. Pour the milk into the blender and add the rest of the ingredients with the exception of shredded coconut and additional berries

2. Blend until well combined

Ham and Egg Salad

Serves 1

Time: 10 minutes


2 hard-boiled eggs

4 slices ham

1 large avocado, cubed

1 head lettuce, finely chopped

2 tbsp unsweetened mayonnaise


1. Place the hard-boiled eggs into a bowl and mash

2. Add the avocado, ham, and lettuce

3. Add the mayonnaise and mix well
