When you're visiting a new city, finding the best places to eat can often be a trial and error experience. Doing a little bit of research before setting off on your night out will do wonders. That's why we have come up with a list of the best restaurants in Seattle, so you don't have to suffer through a poor eating experience while you're vacationing.

From Italian to Caribbean, there is a restaurant for everyone. Discover which is your favorite among the group, and you'll instantly have a go-to when you decide to come back for another visit.

Brimmer and Heeltap

Located in Ballard, Seattle, Brimmer and Heeltap is an American breakfast and brunch joint that has an open kitchen and full bar. Named after the two phrases referring to a glass filled to the brim, and the amount of liquor left at the bottom of a glass after drinking, the restaurant is a tribute to the time between each of these phases.

As one of the best restaurants in Seattle, some of Brimmer and Heeltap's dishes include Belgian waffles, french toast, pan seared shrimp, and house-made ricotta. Fun fact? The entirety of their dining room floor is lined with pennies. It's one of the best places to brunch.

Il Corvo

Looking for one of the best Italian restaurants in Seattle? Look no further than Il Corvo. With fresh options made each day, the eatery has an extensive menu that is constantly changing. Located in Pioneer Square, one of the most historic neighborhoods of Seattle, Il Corvo is considered to be one of the best restaurants in Seattle.

Some examples of dishes have been cavatelli with chantenay carrots, tuna, and fennel. With beautiful photographs of each dish on their website, the restaurant has a great presence online. If you're looking for a classic Italian dish, this is the place to go.

Joule

As one of the best places to get true Korean flavors, Joule is the best Korean steakhouse in Seattle. Named as one of the Best New Restaurants in America by Bon Appétit, the eatery lives up to the title. With options for brunch, appetizers, dinner, wine, cocktails, and desserts, the options are limitless.

Some examples of their best offerings include grass-fed rib eye with beef belly la lot and spicy peanut oil, smokehouse steak with Vietnamese coffee rub and parsnip, and geoduck fried rice with seaweed and pork rind.

Altura

Another great Italian place in the city is Altura. Located on Broadway E, it is considered one of the best restaurants in Seattle. With a menu that is "inspired by the season's ingredients," they have some of the freshest tasting meals you can get in the city.

With meals including Smoke Sturgeon Zabaglione, Pumpkin and Chestnut Risotto, and Duck and Porcini Agnolotti, there is an option for everyone. The menu is constantly changing with options that vary depending on the freshness of their accessible gardens, foragers, farmers, and the sea.

However, it is a bit pricey, as each dinner has a set price of $137 per person.

Un Bien

A little bit of a different option for an eatery, Un Bien specialized in Caribbean sandwiches and cuisine. However, this isn't just any ordinary sandwich joint, Un Bien has almost 30 different choices on their menu, with a vast variety of options.

From sandwiches to salads, seafood, beans and rice, or entrees, this is a place you're going to want to keep coming back to. Some of the best options include their Caribbean Roast dinner with roasted pork shoulder in a marinade, and their Palomilla steak sandwich, with a thin slice of top-sirloin beef on a flat-top. You'll be reciting the food-inspired Caribbean proverbs by the time you leave.

Hitchcock Restaurant

As a winner of five different awards, Hitchcock is one of the best restaurants in Seattle. Chef and owner Brendan McGill is the holder of the 2015 Rising Star Chef award by StarChefs, the 2014 Best Chef: Northwest, James Beard Foundation Semifinalist, 2013's Eater Seattle Chef of the Year award, People's Best New Chef award in 2013, and Seattle Magazine's Best New Restaurants award in 2011.

As one of the best bar-restaurants in the city, some options include Mystery Boy Oysters, Wood-fire Persephone Cauliflower, and Mad Hatcher Egg Spaghetti.

Staple & Fancy

Staple & Fancy provides a multi-course feast with seasonal, Italian-inspired dishes. Located on Ballard Ave, the eatery makes each of their meals with fresh ingredients and huge flavors.

With options like wood-fired pizza, large ribeyes, natural mushrooms, and house-made pasta, you can't go wrong with a destination like this one. Leave full and happy any night, or go to their planned events, like their Seven Fishes celebration, an NYE Dinner, or even a Lobster Feast.

Canlis Restaurant

One of the best restaurants in Seattle for fine-dining, Canlis is an award-winning eatery that has been one of Seattle's greatest locations for the past 66 years. Known for their extensive wine list, the restaurant offers opportunities for up to nine-course tasting menus with wine pairings to boot. It's a foodie's dream. Plus, there is a dress code, for fine-dining attire.

Flintcreek Cattle Co.

With the finest meets that are solely grass-fed, Flintcreek Cattle Co is the best destination for bold flavors and lean meats. Some meals include Maui Bui Venison Loin, Braised Short Rib Hash, Sea of Cortez Grouper, and Oven Roasted Duck Confit.

Plus, it has a fun atmosphere with a full bar and an open and spacious feel with walls of windows and tall ceilings. Located on Greenwood Ave N, the restaurant is calling every meat-lover to visit Seattle.

Manolin

To complete our list of the best restaurants in Seattle, we couldn't forget about Manolin. The New American eatery is a seafood lover's dream. Eat at their beautiful courtyard and patio for an aesthetically pleasing experience.
