India is a country which has large varieties of foods to eat. Most of the Indian foods are spicy, but very delicious. Some of the Indian street foods are way better than the five star Restaurant. In this article, I am going to tell you about some of the most tasty and popular food of India. Whenever you visit India, you should try this all at least one time.

1. Pani Puri

'Pani puri' is the most common Indian street food and it is available mostly in all states of India.It is known as 'Phuchka' in West Bengal and 'Golgappa' in Delhi. The taste of pani puri is spicy and sour. Actually in Pani puri, puris are made from wheat flour. While eating pani puri, spicy potato mashed with onion and other Indian masalas are stuffed in puri. Then it is dipped in sour tamarind water before eating. You can also dip it in sweet or spicy water if you do not like sour taste.

The taste of the panipuri is very tasty. And I guarantee you, you will love the taste of pani puri.

2. Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani

Chicken Biryani is famous all over India and it is available in all state of India. However, the chicken Biryani of Hyderabad is the tastiest biryani as compared to biryani of other states.

Most of the Indian people liked this, including me. It is made up of rice, Indian masalas, chicken pieces, Clarified butter etc. If you are vegetarian, you can try veg Biryani also.

If you ever visit Hyderabad, then this is a must try food.

3. Dhokla

Dhokla is a vegetarian food item that is found mainly in the Indian state of Gujarat and parts of adjacent states. It is made with a fermented batter derived from rice and split chickpeas. Dhokla can be eaten for breakfast, as a main course, as a side dish, or as a snack. Dhokla is a famous food of Gujarat. It is also known as 'khaman' in their native language. This food has a very rich taste. It is usually eaten with chutneys. It is mostly found in Gujarat.

So, next time, whenever you visit Gujarat, do not forgot to try this dish. It is a vegetarian dish.

4. Rasgulla

Rasgulla is an Indian syrupy dessert popular in the Indian subcontinent and regions with South Asian diaspora. It is made from ball-shaped dumplings of chhena (an Indian cottage cheese) and semolina dough, cooked in light syrup made of sugar. This is done until the syrup permeates the dumplings.

The dish originated in East India; the present-day states of Odisha and West Bengal have variously claimed to be its birthplace. Rasgulla is actually a sweet and It is found mostly in all states of India. But, the most tasty rasgullas are found in West Bengal only. It is also known as 'Rosogolla' in their native language.

From next time, whenever you visit West Bengal, try this delicious sweet.

5. Dosa

A dosa is a cooked flat thin layered rice batter, originating from South India, made from a fermented batter. Dosa is an South-Indian food and it is found mostly in south of India. It is usually eaten with chutney. It has a very good taste. You can try this also if you visit south of India.

India has also other tasty and delicious foods like VadaPav, PaavBhaji, Daal Baati, Mutton Biryani, Egg Biryani, Khichadi, Chicken Masala, Chicken Tandoori, Daabeli, Undhiyu, kaju-katli, Gulab-Jamun, Khandvi, Idli-Sambhar, Sondesh etc.

There are so many different kinds of Indian food with different taste, that we cannot even write 1/50 part in one post.
