Universal Laws Are Absolute

"...I'm right, you're wrong—and there's nothing you can do about it." —Harry Wormwood, Matilda, 1996.

We've all been taught, at one point or another, the distinction between right and wrong.

Those who've paved the way for us in this life experience have convinced us, over time, that there's not only a morally right way of living life but, too, that there are specific behaviors, thoughts, and character traits that are considered morally wrong.

Essentially, if we weren't making right decisions, we were making the wrong ones. There's no middle ground or gray area (unless that shoe is on the other foot, of course.. but that's a whole other bag of worms).

My question always was: who determines the standard for right and wrong, though? Some say God. Others say our parents or authority figures. Many say it's all intuition.

There's so much contradictory information that this idea of right and wrong hasn't made much sense to me since as far back as I can recall.

Like Matilda, hearing my father drill into my head how wrong much of what I did as a child was, infuriated me. How come adults are never wrong? I thought.

By M. on Unsplash

"It's not fair," I cried to myself softly, burying my face in the pillow while curling into a tighter ball atop the covers.

The uncomfortable sting in the cool wake of warm tears as they flow down my reddened cheek where my father's strong carpenter's hand had slapped me only a few minutes prior, causes me to sob a little harder as I'm reminded of the abuse.

Apparently, my growing inquisitive mind "calling his authority into question" (asking a question he had no answer to) was one of the things he most hated.

He had implemented strict rules and one of them was (from my perspective) "Thou shalt not ever question thy father".

But how is curiosity wrong? How will I get answers if I never ask questions?

This entire idea conflicted strongly with what I felt inside. How can I learn if I'm slapped every time I ask a question?

As young as I was, I felt the illogicality in his approach.

And while the human urge to explain & make sense of things in this life experience is understandably what drives inefficient reactions like this, history has proven the concept of right and wrong to be fundamentally flawed.

You see, when it comes to our universe as a whole, there is no Divine Principle of right or wrong.

Our universe is about inclusion, attraction, and expansion only. And if you feel discomfort in hearing that, this information is going to help you a lot.

Law of Duality

While there is a Law of Duality that says "two exact opposite results derive out of a same thing" it's the perception of this law that has been misconstrued over time, not the law itself.

What we're taught is, where one thing exists (ex. goodness) there also must exist its opposite (ex. badness or evil). But this teaching served to scrutinize God—the Supreme & Absolute Authority on all that represents good in our entire universe.

Logic says, if the lessons we were taught about God as an 'absolute power' (omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent) are accurate, there cannot simultaneously exist any force capable of opposing such a Power. It defies Law.

What I discovered, and what's lightyears closer to the truth, is, regarding any subject in life, there's only what's wanted and what's unwanted ("two exact opposite results deriving out of the same thing") on that subject. The key here is we get to choose where to put our focus.

By Michèle Eckert on Unsplash

If we choose to focus on what's wanted for long enough, in eagerness & positive expectation, it gets bigger (gaining momentum) until it becomes a larger part of our experience.

Conversely, if we choose to fucus on what's unwanted for long enough, in angst or fear, it too gains momentum until it becomes a larger part of our life experience.

Take a quick look at your life. How often did you know when something bad was going to happen before it did? Be honest with yourself.

How often were you able to predict something good before it came into your life? Come, now, you could feel it, couldn't you? This is the way things are.

Not that there is right & wrong or good & evil, but that there are always two options (what's wanted and what's unwanted) to every subject we choose to focus on—and whichever we permit ourself to focus on for long enough, gets bigger, and eventually shows up in our reality. It is Law.

By Alex Ware on Unsplash

Hint: The only way to stop focusing on one thing is to deliberately choose to focus on something else that feels better.

The Great Contradiction

It's clear that the notion of right & wrong or concept of good & evil were invented by man, not implemented by Nature. If it were not so, the Law of Gravity would be merciful toward newborns, the elderly, disabled, and the like.

They'd be allowed to fall up (or not fall at all) instead of falling down & experiencing pain, since it's believed to be morally wrong to harm these individuals.

Law of Attraction would deliver riches to "good" people & poverty to "unsavory" people, but we all know good folks who are impoverished while seemingly "unsavory" people bask in wealth.

The Law of Motion would permit certain objects to continue moving, contingent on the character of the immovable force it encounters, but that would defy Law.

This is a clear indication of how illogical & contradictory it is for universal laws to submit to human-imposed rules of right and wrong.

This fact simultaneously denotes how beneficial it is to have universal laws that are consistently maintaining balance, harmony, and Divine Order; an Order that ensures we thrive on this planet, no matter what.

It's only up to us to learn how to work with these laws, same as we did with the Law of Gravity, so we move effortlessly through our life experiences as nature intended: along the path of least resistance.

By Johannes Plenio on Unsplash

Whether you were taught about the Laws that govern our universe in detail or whether this is all new to you, what millions of people across the globe now know for a fact is these laws are always on, unerringly impartial, and absolutely infallible.

No one has ever woken up to realize they're floating in the air above the bed because gravity took the day off or decided to give them a break. Our laws work no matter what and no matter who we are.

And in my article entitled The Secret Cost of Success we briefly touch on a few of these laws, including Law of Cause & Effect (aka Karma) and its unequivocal similarity to the Law of Gravity.

It's evident these Laws do not come equipped with a "right" or "wrong" directive that's activated depending on the character or caliber of the person affected by them. We're all treated exactly the same by these laws.

Unbiased, uncompromising, and always accurate, we're powerless to change or alter these Laws (and, believe me, all who've tried have failed miserably).

We must each, instead, figure out how to adjust our approach to life if we are to learn the best way to work in harmony with them—the same way we eventually learned to keep our footing so gravity doesn't pull us down in a way we dislike.

By Muzammil Soorma on Unsplash

The Law of Gravity

Very early on in life we all learn how consistent the Law of Gravity is, all without ever taking an educational course or reading a book detailing how it works. We learned this through real life experience.

For instance, I've always been quite clumsy. On several separate occasions, I sustained some rather serious injuries that taught me very quickly how exact the Law of Gravity is.

One particular day in our family home—as I neared my 7th birthday—I misjudged the location of that third step while heading down into the basement to grab the laundry my mother asked me to retrieve; a decision I couldn't possibly have known, at the time, that I'd soon regret.

For those without foresight, yes, as my foot plummeted blindly through the air, terror pulsed through my veins like electricity. I careened, face first, down all. seven. teen. steps.

And to add insult to injury, not only was my fall abruptly interrupted by the 3-foot thick cement wall encasing our basement (Newton's First Law of Motion) but I bore a wicked wound—temple to jawline—along the right side of my face, unapologetically carved by the worn & jagged wooden steps.

Sure, I could blame the steps or gravity itself for doing me wrong, but that seems illogical and just plain stupid. The fact of the matter is, I was pissed. I wasn't joyfully going downstairs. I'd rather be outside playing with my friends.

I didn't want to go get the laundry, so I had an attitude. And that negative emotion led to an immediate reaction from our universal laws that taught me a lesson I'd always remember.

By Sander Sammy on Unsplash

Gravity didn't consider or care that I was only a child and it wasn't wrong for being as inflexible with me as it had been with everyone else. It did what it was intended to do: pull me downward to the earth.

The responsibility falls on those who've come before me to teach me (and, later on in life, for me to take accountability and learn for myself) that I'd never fall up (at least not on earth).

I must practice being sure of my footing or taking hold of the railing prior to advancing my steps. Otherwise, I'd take fall after painful fall until it finally sinks in.

The Natural Order

Odds are, you have similar stories of your own. We all do. And that's a clear indication that there's something far more powerful than us and our rules of limitation at work here.

Something we can't see or touch or taste or hear, but something we can absolutely feel (repeatedly, so) if we're too stubborn to learn how these universal laws operate and figure out the most efficient ways to work in harmony with them so we avoid any further struggle, hardship, or pain.

There are 12 Universal Laws in total (that we're aware of) uncovered by the brilliant Sir Isaac Newton and clicking the underlined text will reveal (in a new window/tab) additional details on what these laws are as well as more information on how they individually operate.

The important thing to note here, though, is that these laws function harmoniously with one another and in concert with all life on earth (that includes us).

Their purpose is to ensure Order exists for the Highest Good (expansion and evolution) of the entire Universe. An Order none of us can ever touch or change.. ever.

By K. Mitch Hodge on Unsplash

That's why—regardless of what you hear, see, or read in the media or news outlets—the world is not coming to an end any time soon. We're not killing this planet and we never will.

The abundance here outweighs & outpaces all else.

Think about it, for us to cause a catastrophic event so massive that it destroys the entire world, it would have to be extraordinarily more devastating than the natural disasters that already occur here.

Fun Fact: The earth has survived more than 2,000 nuclear explosions since 1945, which proves that this wildly preposterous notion is classic fearmongering propaganda.

The fact is, this earth was thriving for an unnumbered millennia prior to humans showing up here—evolving and expanding in total abundance on its own—and I've got a sneaking suspicion it'll continue to thrive long after we're dead & gone.

Don't take my word for it, though.

Find some trusted sources and ask some probing questions. Do just a little bit of research on your own. You'll be surprised to see the truth isn't hiding at all. It's out there (aptly dubbed as The Secret). But, as expected, I digress.

When this Divine Order was established many eons ago, there was no right or wrong, no good or evil caveat included.

Right or wrong is a human-derived notion that can only be determined when one thing is compared to another thing that's complete or is flawlessly perfect.

And if history has taught us anything, it's that this universe is expanding & evolving at a rapid rate and is showing no signs of slowing down.

By Shot by Cerqueira on Unsplash

That means completion and perfection are foreign concepts to the Naturally & consistently unfolding Order of things.

Even if you believe there to be a standard, who sets the standard for which decision is right when you're held at gunpoint?

Who sets the standard for which decision is right when you feel inspired to quit your job and start a business doing something you love?

Who sets the standard for which decision is right as it pertains to how you feel inside about.. anything?

I'll give you a hint.. those are trick questions. It's you. You set the standard because you're the one living your life, are you not?

You're the only one who can f e e l for you. So, isn't it logical that you be the one in charge of making those decisions for yourself? Doesn't that just make sense?

Those are more rhetorical questions, by-the-way.

Don't worry if you don't know right now how to make the best decisions for your entire life. You can learn.

I learned. Oprah learned. Will Smith, Napoleon Hill, Dale Carnegie.. they learned too. And they've written books so that, when you're ready, you'll learn also.

Wanted & Unwanted

Note that the establishment of our universal laws predates all life on earth (before humans introduced the idea of right and wrong or good and evil) and will continue to remain solid for many more lifetimes to come.

For that reason, in this universe based on attraction and inclusion, only wanted and unwanted, on every subject, exists. That is all.

Our emotions are the magnet.

Whether we choose to focus on wanted or unwanted, in any moment, that is what creates the positive or negative emotion in us that, over time, as we choose it repeatedly, begins to gain momentum—drawing things, people, and situations that match this energy (or vibration) to us.

This is, ultimately, how things become a part of our reality. Sometimes we attract right away, like I attracted falling down the steps. Other times it takes longer. But we always get what we think & feel about most. That's the way it is.

And don't worry, I've got a few real life examples to help this make more sense as well as a couple of practical tips coming up, intended teach you the first steps to turning things around for the better.

By Stefan Cosma on Unsplash

Law of Attraction

When people say "life isn't fair" what they're really saying is, someone taught them that life will "beat you down", test your moral fortitude, or requires hard work and forced effort to be worthwhile.

The hearers believed this malarky without ever thinking to seek out someone else who hadn't struggled through life and had a more illuminating lesson to teach.

It's not what you know, it's who you know and what they can teach you about the life you want to live that matters. —Meg Thee Tiger

Blind belief leaves us ignorant to the 'certain way' things must be done in order for us to coexist happily with the universal laws of our planet. So, many people accept struggle in their blindness to the truth.

And it's understandable. People who are unaware of or were never taught this information cannot possibly teach it to us. So, life goes on: the blind leading the blind.

Unknown Unknown—something we don't know that we don't know.

Fortunately, this has already begun to change for the better. Those of us who've learned these truths are teaching them to others because we know the only way to eradicate the ignorance is to focus on sharing the truth.

Eventually, those who are unaware of the Natural Order of things will pass away and make room for the newer generations who are raised and reared by those of us who know the Great Secrets to Life.

The future is looking bright; filled with self-aware & joyous beings living in love and harmony while actually enjoying blissful life experiences. That's the world I someday want to live in.

What We Focus On Gets Bigger

Regardless of if we live our life experiences deliberately or in willful ignorance—as noted above—these infallible laws continue to serve us situations, people, and things according to what we're thinking & having emotions about.

If your thoughts & focus remain consistently on negativity, injustice, or poverty—regardless of the reason (my parents told me, our ancestors believed it, it was on the television or social media or radio, that's all I've ever seen/been around, I can relate)—this only serves to confirm your belief that "life isn't fair" and continues to attract lack, injustice, and poverty into your life.

Think about it.. how's that been working out for you..

By comparison, those whose primary focus is wealth, abundance, and joy continue to attract wealth, abundance, and joy into their life. Even if they're down for a minute, they quickly find their footing and somehow maintain their balance.

How can this be? There must be a logical reason, right. Yes, there is! And it's not magic, it's not luck, it's not a matter of a certain opportunity or growing up in the right family.

No matter where you find yourself in life right now, the 'certain way' of doing things is not difficult to learn. Those who've figured it out are those who are asking the right questions. They received answers.

Though the answer is perceived differently by each of us and only reveals itself when we're ready, the best way to get ready for the answer is to decide to try something new; try doing things in the 'certain way' they're intended to be done.

Life Is Fair

The truth is, life is absolutely fair to everyone across the board. No one is exempt from the Law of Gravity. Ever. Not babies, not old people, not the President, not Queen Elizabeth, no one. And we know that.

So, it's equally logical to conclude that the Law of Attraction, for instance, operates in the same manner. Law of Attraction (LOA) is the single most powerful law in the universe.

Its job is to identify matching energies (aka vibrations or emotional output frequencies) and bring them together. Without respect of persons, social status, principles, moral beliefs, or anything else, this law brings matching energies (things, people, situations) together. Period.

LOA doesn't judge whether the energies are perceived as good or bad by us. It doesn't listen to what we say. It responds to how we feel. This is due to our emotions (our hearts) creating an impulse with every thought we have.

That pulse projects and extends an electromagnetic field up to 3 feet from our body. This is why (empaths, in particular) are capable of feeling the energy of other people and things in life.

By Noah Buscher on Unsplash

LOA hears what we mean when we speak; not the words we've selected, but the thoughts & emotions that follow those words.

This means if I focus on what I want for long enough—and these thoughts incite feelings of eagerness and joy within me—what I focus on will eventually be mine (drawn into my electromagnetic field).

Concurrently, if I think or focus on what I don't want for long enough, in a spirit of anxiety or fear, it will eventually be drawn into my field as well.

My only job is to learn how to focus better.

My job is to find my balance and be more in control of how I feel so I attract what feels good instead of what feels off, in the same way that I learned how to keep my footing so I'm not falling down all day long.

You literally can't get more fair than that.

By Tingey Injury Law Firm on Unsplash

Here's where a lot of people get tripped up, if you think or focus on what you want for long enough—in a spirit of disbelief or doubt—law of attraction will hold it apart from you. The vibrations (energies) do not match.

Yes, you want it, but you don't really believe you can have it. You're not eager for it in the sense that you're satisfied with what you have and are looking forward to more.

You're eager for it in a lack-based sense of being dissatisfied with what you currently have or where you are, and you're depending on something else to make you feel better.

But this is going about it contrary to the 'certain way' things must be done. By definition & by Universal Law, you cannot get what you want from that emotional place of lack. So, it cannot be yours.

You must learn and choose to discipline and train yourself to think differently about what you want before your consistent positive emotions on that subject can instruct LOA to bring matching energies into your electromagnetic field. This is the Natural Order of things.

Source Energy v God

What we know for sure is that there is a Divine Order to our Universe. If this were not the case, our planet could never rotate on an axis in space alone.

Our sun wouldn't be perfectly positioned in such a way that, a centimeter closer and it would burn us to a crisp or a centimeter further away and it would freeze us solid.

The ocean would bypass the shoreline, consuming the dry land and our planets would collide with one another sending a mess of fragmented matter scattered throughout the galaxy.

Grass, flowers, trees, would have no reason to grow effortlessly in their season. Rain wouldn't know where to fall. There would be infinite cosmic chaos.

Extensive in-depth research over the past 8 years has made it abundantly clear to me that these Universal Laws are responsible for that Divine Natural Order.

I'd be remiss to not parallel the fact that, initially, religion taught me that God—an invisible male entity who "sits high and looks low"; who rewards those that live "right" and punishes those that live "wrong", but who perceives us all as sinners regardless of what we do—is single-handedly responsible for all of this Order.

And while the notion of God being responsible made some sense, there were contradictions no one could seem to clear up for me. My search for a truth that resonated with my soul, however, did eventually lead me to a new and more accurate truth.

By Davide Cantelli on Unsplash

Unlike what I'd been encouraged to believe, this new information made more sense. I connected with it. And one thing I know for sure is, when something is true, it withstands the test of rigorous investigation, while remaining unchanged.

Based on what I uncovered, when I replaced the word "Lord" with the word "Law", certain passages in the bible began to make more sense. The stories in the bible (when read in their entirety rather than in excerpts used out of their original context) are just that, stories, songs, and diaries.

These individual accounts of experiences, thoughts, and opinions from those who lived in those times—who were gracious enough to share their story so we would know our history—are enlightening and entertaining.

It's important to remember, though, that these writers offer singular perspectives based on the beliefs, life experience, and mindsets of the one sharing their story in their time period, and may not accurately reflect the way we feel or perceive things today.

In school, we understand that history books are intended to teach us about important points in history. We do not choose to model our lives after their authors and we do not take their words as relevant today. The bible, for me, is no different.

By Aaron Burden on Unsplash

That's not to say that I no longer believe in God. On the contrary, God (as I know the concept now) is a label given to our Source Energy by humans.

Some people in other countries and religions revere & recognize this same Source Energy as the be-all-end-all of pure positive energy and absolute power & dominion over our universe.

The only difference is the labels or names they've chosen to associate with Source based on factors including their language and beliefs. Names like Yahweh, Allah, Jehovah, Elohim, etc., are a few examples.

This Collective Consciousness or Infinite Intelligence is pure positive energy; genderless, and exists in the Spiritual Realm where there's no space, language, or time—only energy.

Source is the origin of every particle in our universe (including us). It's where we're from, it's at the core of all things, and is where we'll return when we exit this physical time and space environment (what we call "death").

And since energy cannot be created nor destroyed, there's no actual death of our energy as it transitions from this life experience, back to the Spiritual Realm to reunite with Source, and when it returns to earth in a new form.

By Federico Beccari on Unsplash

Tuned In, Tapped In, Turned On

With increasing research came deeper resonance with fresh realizations and a stronger connection to who I really am. My mindset shifted into a higher & more positive place and goodness began to flow rapidly into my life—first, by how much better I felt and later by the things, people, and circumstances that continue to flood in.

Once I got tuned in, tapped in, and turned on, I made the connection with my Inner Being (what some call the "Holy Spirit" or "still small voice", but who I lovingly refer to as Source Energy or the Universe) and religion was no longer useful since it imposed unnecessary rules and limitations that go against my natural instincts to grow, evolve, explore, and feel good.

Limitations like no jewelry (or anything immodest), no homosexuality, and no sex prior to marriage caused discord within me. They are contrary to my natural instincts.

These are all things that encompass who I am. I love beautiful jewels, bold hair colors, and long attractive nails. Modesty has never been for me.

I was heterosexual, then I was lesbian, and now I'm 100% pansexual. And, as we discussed, I'm totally & happily addicted to sexual energy because I'm no longer ignorant to its true purpose.

When I learned the true intentions for the act of sex and understood the powerful connection between sexual energy and a state of superconsciousness, my sexual addiction finally made sense to me.

This realization helped me to not only release the guilt and shame I harbored around my natural desires but encouraged me to give in to them more often by seeking out healthy ways to replenish my energy through sexual release, achieving pleasure on my own until my Divinely Selected partner and I are united.

By Gabriella Clare Marino on Unsplash

Emotional Balance

Those religious beliefs & limitations were the source of my resistance around what I felt to be natural and good to me and for me. And in order to free myself—holding steadfast to the lessons that were for me—I released religion and all else that wasn't for me from my life.

And you know what I noticed? Every day, I feel better than ever before and good things consistently find their way to me in surprising and delightful ways.

The more often I choose good-feeling thoughts upon waking, the more control I have over my emotions throughout my day no matter the situation and no matter what others choose to do or say.

And practicing this consistently has created better habits for me that continue to open doors of opportunity in my life I had once believed were unavailable to me.

What I know now is that there is a 'certain way' of doing things. Abundance is a naturally flowing stream in our universe. This stream flows to us and through us, always.

Our emotions are a powerful indicator of whether we're focused in alignment with the flow of that stream or whether we're focused in a way that takes us against the current (upstream), pinching us off from—but never fully severing—our connection to Source.

The more often we choose to feel good, the more kindness and love we show ourselves and others, the more we effortlessly flow downstream with the current.

By Monika MG on Unsplash

The more often we choose to focus on what hurts, what bothers us, or what we dislike, the more difficult it becomes to paddle against the current toward what is unwanted until we decide to give up the struggle; release the resistance.

The unique thing about Source Energy (God) is that they (yes, they) never stop calling us toward what we said we wanted. The minute we ask for something, it is given, and Source begins calling us to it through our path of least resistance.

It's the receiving that requires the vibrational (not hard or forced) work we must do (making feeling good our number one priority) to ensure our energy matches the energy of what's wanted.

Source wants to get us to what we want as quickly and painlessly as possible and if we followed every positive impulse we had, we'd get there as soon as the next few moments.

But many of us do (and have done) things like hard work or struggle (which is the opposite of what we said we wanted) in a fruitless attempt to follow the lead of others with the intention of finding success or happiness.

Life becomes increasingly more difficult under these circumstances until we give up the struggle and try things a different way. At some point, we all come across information similar to what you've found here today. And that is the start to our own journey into self-awareness.

The good news is, we all, eventually, get to that crossroads in life just as I, and many others, have. If you haven't gotten there before, congratulations.. you're there today.

The Power of Choice

Nowadays, regardless of how others behave, what a person says, or the circumstances I find myself in, I know I always have a choice.

I can choose to allow that person or situation to be what it is and focus on something else that feels better (which leads to a more favorable outcome for me) or I can choose to feel bothered by it, talk about it, harp on it, or react to it—which leads to a less favorable outcome for me.

The true power is in my choices. And while it's not always easy, convenient, or ideal to focus on what's wanted all the time—because what's unwanted is the clearest indication to us of what is wanted most times—there are practical steps using The Art of Pivoting we can take to quickly get back on track.

By Pablo García Saldaña on Unsplash

In a Universe based on attraction and abundance, everything is right. Even those things some perceive as wrong are right when we step back far enough and choose to observe from a broader perspective.

Instead of looking at things as either right or wrong, think in terms of whether the subject you're thinking about is something wanted or unwanted by you. This is the basis of cooperating with the laws governing our universe.

Severe thunderstorms are not wrong.

When the surface of the earth becomes too warm in certain places, the molecules in the warmer air close to the ground commingles with the cold air in the sky to create the perfect conditions for rain, which returns balance to the environment as it cools & refreshes the surface of the earth.

A impoverished person is not in the midst of something wrong.

Their situation is the result of persistent lack-based thoughts & corresponding negative emotions—whether about money or not—which have caused Law of Attraction to match them with a situation that reflects how they feel.

But if they would deliberately begin choosing to feel good instead, it wouldn't be 30 days before they begin to feel better and, eventually, see an improvement in their life experience.

By Johannes Plenio on Unsplash

Turning Point

There was a time a number of years ago when I was sitting in the pew at church during a sermon and I felt like giving up on life. I was promiscuous; addicted to sexual energy and I desired so strongly to be a part of a harmonious relationship.

Unsure of how to feel better about something the church condemned but that I enjoyed so much, I was tired of feeling like a sinner who could never do right.

I was tired of feeling helpless. I was tired of feeling tired. I wanted something different and my soul cried out for change.

I knew there had to be more than this guilt and shame I felt around my natural impulses to share in deep intimacy and powerful synergistic sexual cocreation with another person.

You see, church, to me—apart from the music, of course—would only beat into our heads how fucked up we all are. The preacher would hone in on what was wrong with us, what's going wrong in the world.

They would harp on the fact that we need to give our life to Christ and accept Jesus as our personal Lord & Savior if we want to be saved at the end of our life.

By Igor Rodrigues on Unsplash

But why would God—an all-powerful Being, the Source of unconditional love—put us here to suffer to the point that we'd need a savior? That doesn't feel like love at all.

There were no true answers to my personal struggle, just one rule: live by faith and hope you get things right (although we're taught that we're doomed to never get it right).

There's no comfort or solace in that at all. There was no ease for my inner turmoil. There's no joy in the belief that, to prove my love for Jesus, I must suffer, remain impoverished, and be willing to endure lifelong persecution with no guarantee of reward until this life is over.

I found no consolation in having to constantly beg forgiveness for making the best decisions I could make in the moment, from where I was in life—all for fear of being locked out of heaven and sentenced to burning in the fires of hell for all eternity.

That entire belief system is built on fear, something the very bible most religions are structured around clearly says is not an innate trait within us. So, if fear does not occur to us naturally, it must have been taught.

I needed things to make more sense. When my family, church, and circle of friends weren't providing answers that satisfied my soul, I chose to ask outside sources instead.

With so many people in the world who seemed to be getting things right, I knew somebody else had to have a better vantage point. And you know what, I found that the world wasn't half as bad as others make it seem.

By Paolo Bendandi on Unsplash

My New Truth

You see, the negative emotions and thoughts I was consumed with while sitting in church were not wrong, they were an indicator. Just like your gas gauge isn't wrong when it indicates to you that the fuel in your vehicle has fallen below a certain point.

Just like your GPS isn't wrong when it indicates to you that you've missed your exit or turn so you can get back to the highlighted route. Just like your oven isn't wrong when it indicates to you that food is at the perfect temperature so it doesn't overcook.

Negative emotion showed me that what I was focusing on is not in alignment with what I want. It's an indicator that I wanted to feel better (Law of Duality).

When we choose any subject in life, there's always something wanted and equally unwanted pertaining to that subject.

If we choose to focus on unwanted, our emotions immediately indicate that to us with negative emotion as a way of encouraging us to focus on what feels better instead.

If we choose to focus on wanted, our emotions indicate that to us with positive emotions that make us feel eagerness and excitement.

It's taken some hyper-focused self-care, meditative isolation, and studying on my own for me to develop the true inner-awareness where I'm stable enough in my emotions that I can thrive under any conditions.

By Loic Leray on Unsplash

I'm confident in my ability now, more than ever, to choose what feels best to me in any given moment.

And of course I still have days where I encounter unwanted things but what's important is my ability to take the hint and choose to feel good anyway.

I know that God (Source Energy) is flowing to me and through me always, and as long as my consistent focus remains on feeling positive emotions as often as I can, my path of least resistance to all I desire in this life experience will repeatedly light up for me.

My new truth is that life is supposed to feel good to me. That's the Natural Order of things. Grass doesn't struggle to grow—it's effortless.

And if my life doesn't feel effortless, then I know I have the ability to choose any singular thought on any other unrelated subject that's more appealing to me.

This releases the resistant thought from my awareness for a bit so that I begin to feel better and encourage my emotions to shift upward into that positive-feeling place again.

Making this a daily game is what has given Law of Attraction many reasons to bring me more of what I desire in life. That's what I know to be true.

All Is Well

In a Universe created for abundance, love, and joy, you can do no wrong. Everything is right in its own way. Abundance is the Natural state of our universe. All is well.

Negative emotion is not wrong. It's an indicator that you're focused on something that isn't serving you.

It's the same as when you touch a hot stove. It will indicate to you, by burning you, that touching the hot stove is not what you want.

And if you'd only choose a new thought during these times when you feel negative emotion, you'd find it easier & easier to feel better. It is Law.

If life's not feeling right, take a look at your thoughts and acknowledge the correlation between those thoughts and how you're feeling, then choose a different thought that feels better.

Commit to being more deliberate about reaching for those positive emotions you desire to feel and you will feel better as the signs of your alignment with Source becomes more consistent. It's as simple as that.

You're far more than a mere human; flesh, blood, and bone. You're a brilliant vibrational creation; a magnificent vibrational Being; an extension of Source Energy having a wonderful human experience.

Learning to manage your emotions, learning to move in harmony with the universal laws of our planet, learning the path of least resistance to everything you desire in life.. that is the Natural Order of things.

"Life can be absolutely phenomenal.. and it should be.. and it will be.. when you start using The Secret." —Bob Proctor, The Secret Movie, 2006

Takeaways

  • Thoughts have tremendous power to influence our emotions,
  • Emotions have the power to determine our choices, and;
  • Consistent choices have the creative power to shape our reality.

Choose thoughts that feel good to you often. Bask in positive emotion as long as you can. And when you feel negative emotion tugging at you, make new choices that feel better to you.

If that's too tough in the moment, take a nap and try again when you wake up. You can do it. Just remember: "Practice makes habits."
