The Lost City is a good family movie idea for family night. WARNING: There is a part where you will see Channing Tatum’s butt. It’s all in fun and nothing sexual.

Summary

This movie is a romance, comedy, and adventure type movie. There is a romance novelist who is grieving over the death of her husband and feels as though she doesn’t have any more stories to write or to live for. However, her best friend who is also her publishing manager thinks otherwise and hoped that the book tour for the novelist's last Dash book would spark something in her. Well during the first book interview with the novelist Dash model goes horribly wrong. The novelist gets herself kidnapped. It is the Dash model that goes into the jungle to find the novelist, but when he found her. They had no phone or help so they fought off the jungle as they look civilization to help them before being kidnapped by the villain.

And this is where I have to stop telling you about the movie because I’ll end up giving the ending away and it's one of those ending you MUST watch to the end. The ending is beautiful!! It’s something that we all need to see.

The Facts

🗻 This movie was on a budget of $68million and brought in $190.8 million. Pretty good for a movie.

🗻 Sandra almost didn’t take on the lead role due to the story being on the shelve for 7 years but changed her mind when Elizabeth Rapose gave Sandra the creative rights to change the story. Hint as to why you see Sandra as producer and writer.

🗻 Ryan Reynolds was supposed to be the male lead but due to his projects and Channing's talents, he won the part.

🗻 Channing kept making Sandra laugh with his ad-libbed lines and had to do a lot of cutting in the footage.

🗻 Dash is based on Brad Pitter.

🗻 Daniel Radcliffe enjoyed playing the villain due to the villain being motivated by pathetic things.

🗻 The movie was filmed in the Dominican Republic. The parts they were mainly in were Casa De Campos, Samana, and Santo Domingo.

🗻 Sandra put a lot of her own personality into Loretta (the novelist).

The Lost City is a funny, worthy, and romantic movie. The type we don’t see anymore because of the lack of freedom in Hollywood. It definitely gives off Indiana Jone vibes but I ensure you this ending isn’t like any other jungle adventure movie. I give this movie 10 out of 10 little islands.
