The truth is that healthcare and entrepreneurship go quite well together, especially in the hands of someone like Dr. Orsula Knowlton. As somebody passionate about quality of care, Dr. Knowlton has always strived to create strong, caring organizations. This led to her developing a solid reputation within the healthcare and pharmacy world.

Before Dr. Orsula Knowlton could start her entrepreneurial endeavors, she first obtained her education. She began with a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the University of Sciences, Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science in Philadelphia, PA, which was recently affiliated with St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, LA. Dr. Orsula Knowlton returned to the University of Sciences to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy degree. This was followed by her Master’s in Business and Administration from Temple University’s Fox School of Business, Currently, Dr. Orsula Knowlton is actively licensed in pharmacy in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

Over the years, Dr. Orsula Knowlton has had the opportunity to establish several healthcare companies. In 2009, she co-founded Tabula Rasa Healthcare, Inc. Tabula Rasa Healthcare was designed to provide medication risk mitigation, safety, and pharmacy solutions. In other words, the company’s goal has always been to make medication regimens safer, more accessible, and more effective. Dr. Orsula Knowlton was heavily involved in her company until recently (2022). Until then, Dr. Knowlton held several positions within the company, including President, Chief Marketing, New Business Development Officer, Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, And President of the Board of Directors. Early on in the company’s start-up, she was also Chief Compliance Officer for their three pharmacies in New Jersey, Colorado and San Francisco.
