I have tried numerous amounts of products such as moisturizers and face washes that eventually dried out and damaged my skin. After years of using many different brands with countless amounts of chemicals put in them, I decided that I wanted to try something more natural and these four remedies absolutely changed how I looked at myself in the mirror. Heather Newgen is a journalist based in Los Angeles and is the founder of The Voluntourist—an online platform that inspires others to give back while traveling in a responsible way. We should always properly take care of our skin despite our age. Your skin will never consistently be its youthful-looking self, but there are methods to keep it looking great at least. When my sister hit 30, she realized that she should be taking care of her skin more these days. She didn't really use the best skincare products during her 20s, but now that she noticed a few fine lines and crow's feet by her eyes, these were the signs that it was time to fully focus on her skin.
I have massive... massive pores. I feel like no matter what product I use, nothing is shrinking my pores because I can clearly still see them. Even the more high-end products that are specifically designed to hide your pores don't work on me. Having large pores is super annoying because not only are they visible when I don't have any makeup on, but they're extremely visible when I want to hide everything with foundation, concealer, and setting powder. This is why I'm very fixated on decreasing the size of my pores.

Okay, I know a lot of people who have had severe acne since high school or even later in life, and I'm not talking about just a couple pimples every so often. I'm talking about my peeps that have had acne all over the face or in large portions and just won't go away.
If you're anything like me, you're broke.
I just want to start off by saying I am no skincare expert. All I know is that my skin has been problematic since my middle school glory days, and I've had plenty of time to experiment while trying to find some sort of solution.
Around 95 percent of the population will have acne at one point in their lives or another. For many people, acne is an issue that goes beyond those awkward teenage years and continues to be an annoyance throughout their adult lives as well. It can feel like the fight against acne is never-ending, but there’s some good news for those that know how real the struggle can be.
