Contouring and Highlighting
Makeup has existed to enhance and beautify the appearance of the body. Cosmetics have been around since the beginning of time and have evolved drastically depending on the fashion and beauty trends of the decades and centuries that have gone by. Most makeup nowadays consists of products made out of creams, liquids, powders, pencils, or rouge. After YouTube came to be, many girls and women started creating makeup tutorial videos and became self-proclaiming “beauty gurus.” They started developing nuanced makeup techniques, one of the most popular being contouring and highlighting.
Julie CherneskyPublished 5 years ago in BlushTips on Maintaining & Growing 4c Natural Hair
Having 4c hair can be a struggle for some people, but once you understand it, your life will be much easier. Well, caring for your hair. Out of 4a, 4b, and 4c hair, 4c hair is the kinkiest and most tightly coiled hair in its section. Like I stated before, it can be difficult for some naturalists to care if they have 4c hair. Trust me, I know since I have 4c hair as well.

Makeup. We all know it can be so horrifying when you catch a glimpse of yourself in a mirror after a long day and seeing that you have turned into your own version of the Grinch. You start to wonder how long you've really looked like that and regret everyone you have spoken to throughout the day.
Heather SykesPublished 5 years ago in BlushScience-Backed Ways to Fight Oily Skin
Oily skin can be a pretty difficult issue to deal with. People who have this skin type are way more likely to have bad breakouts, have excessively shiny skin, and may even have difficulty keeping their makeup in place due to the oil their skin produces. During the summer, these problems often magnify.

Cortisone is a pervasive steroid hormone, released naturally by the body in many situations, and used extensively in the medical field. It's responsible for your fight-or-flight responses that prepare you to face danger, and it's the key ingredient in many anti-itch and anti-inflammatory creams.
Nicola P. YoungPublished 5 years ago in Blush5 Favorite Korean Toners
Korean skincare products are taking the world by storm. Stores like ULTA and Sephora are starting to carry these skincare products that come from overseas. There are many different brands to choose from online and also in stores. It may be a difficult choice on which toner to purchase with so many different brands out there to choose from. Korean toners do not have alcohol in them like American toners do, because of this Korean toners won't strip or dry out your skin like their American counterparts do. Korean toners also contain ingredients that are better for your skin and will help improve your complexion over time with use.

Disclaimer: All information was gathered from @trendmood, an amazing Instagram account that makeup junkies need to follow, stat. Constructive criticism is not someone being negative and hateful. It comes from a positive place and intention in wanting someone to improve and better themselves. Because if I “hate” something, I’m not going to waste my time and energy talking about it (most of the times). So if you are sensitive to constructive criticism, you are welcome to leave. Watch my video on YT but this is better. Datum, I wrote Part I not even a week ago. Brands need to chill with this pumping out of MU.

11 Luxury MU Brands at Shoppers Drug Mart
Disclaimer I could be completely wrong (so whatever I say = grain of salt). But I do feel that a lot of Canadian makeup consumers do not know that Shoppers Drug Mart also carries quite a few luxury or high end makeup brands, which we see at Sephora. And I would urge people to pay attention to putting their money at Shoppers Drug Mart because the point system is (absolutely) so much better, hands down. And the rewards are endless, comparatively to what Sephora offers (which is kind of embarrassing for Sephora, but obviously they are not bothered). I also do think that Canadians supporting a Canadian business would be nice (unless it’s not Canadian, like Tim Hortons), but that’s just me. Also, you can buy both drugstore and high end makeup at one place, maximizing the reward system. Granted there are two cons with SDM.
Heeta JoshiPublished 5 years ago in BlushGlisten: 5 Best Highlighters for Wet-Looking Skin
Okay, I know what you're thinking. "Sarah, why would I want to look sweaty? It seems completely counterproductive." I, for one, am super happy that matte skin has had its rotation because I've personally never been a fan of matte skin with a super blinding highlight. If that's you, then you rock it! These highlighters still apply to you and anyone—but that sweaty look is just in and I had to write about it.
5 Favorite Korean Snail Products
I am a huge fan of Korean Skincare products. They work well on my combination oily skin and often times contain unique ingredients. Snail secretion is one of those unique ingredients that is sometimes found in Korean Skincare items. No snails were harmed in the making of these items. The slime left behind by the snails is only used.
Amanda ZylstraPublished 5 years ago in BlushBoxyCharm Review
Hello, my lovely people, I was thinking I could start doing a monthly review of my BoxyCharm. BoxyCharm is a monthly subscription for $21/month that comes as a box of four to five full size cosmetic products. The products range from brands such as Tarte, Becca, Dr. Brandt, etc. (mostly high end). The box is literally a steal. It gets no better than BoxyCharm in my opinion. I first started out with the Ipsy bag subscription, but I'd much rather get full size items. Since makeup is such a hobby of mine and I don’t have $100s to spend on makeup every month, $21 is doable for me. Especially when each box is valued at over $120 almost every time. I’ve received the box twice so far, and both times they were over $130. I couldn't be happier with this subscription. I would highly recommend any of you reading to check it out! :)
