You might have heard of Jamaican Black Castor Oil before. In the last couple of years, JBCO has become very popular. The oil can be used for different things as it has many benefits. It is very popular to use as a part of your skincare routine. But this is not the most common reason to use it. The most common reason to use it is for your hair, as it hydrates, moisturizes, and stimulates hair growth.

Warning: it’s possible to get an allergic reaction from the usage of Jamaican Black Castor Oil. Therefore, you should always test the Jamaican Black Castor Oil before using it. You can rub some on the inside of your wrist and see how your skin reacts to it.

What is Jamaican Black Castor Oil

Jamaican Black Castor Oil gets extracted from the Ricinus Communis plant(Castor Oil plant). The seeds get roasted and pulverized. After that, they add water. And eventually, it gets boiled on fire. And when it’s finished, you will have Jamaican Black Castor Oil. Jamaican Black Castor Oil is a thick and dark brown oil. The smell is pretty strong but can get masked when the oil is mixed with other oils.

Eyelashes

If you want longer, thicker and fuller eyelashes than Jamaican Black Castor Oil might be for you. To use Jamaican Black Castor Oil on your eyelashes you will need an empty mascara bottle and clean wand. Fill the mascara bottle with Jamaican Black Castor Oil and use the wand to apply it to your eyelashes. Do this every night before you go to bed. In the morning you should wash off the Jamaican Black Castor Oil with lukewarm water. Make sure that your lashes are clean and make up free when applying the Jamaican Black Castor Oil.

Warning: make sure that the Jamaican Black Castor Oil doesn't come in direct contact with your eyes. If this is the case, you should immediately rinse your eyes with water and contact a doctor.

If you don't have a suitable applicator, you should try this empty mascara tube and wand set. Click here to purchase a suitable applicator.

Eyebrows

The same way that you use Jamaican Black Castor Oil for your eyelashes, you could use it for your eyebrows. This includes applying it at night and washing it off in the morning with lukewarm water. If you don’t have a wand, you can also apply the Jamaican Black Castor Oil with your fingertips or a cotton swab. Make sure that your hands are clean when using your fingertips. And use a new cotton swab every time you apply the oil.

Edges

Jamaican Black Castor Oil is known for growing your edges at a fast rate. Besides growing your edges, it also makes them thicker and fuller. Therefore, if your edges are missing or are very thin, you can use some Jamaican Black Castor Oil to help you get healthy and full edges. You can apply the Jamaican Black Castor Oil with your fingertips and massage the oil onto your edges. After applying it, you can style your hair as usual.

Tip: Jamaican Black Castor Oil is very thick and has a strong smell. If you aren’t a fan of the smell, you can mix it with a different oil to mask it. Jasmin oil, Lavender Oil, and Almond oil are great for this.

Beard

Jamaican Black Castor Oil can also help grow a fuller and thicker beard. To do this, you will need to massage a bit of Jamaican Black Castor Oil onto your beard. Just a few drops are enough. You should apply this daily to see results.

Hair

You can use Jamaican Black Castor Oil to help stimulate hair growth. You can do this by using Jamaican Black Castor Oil when giving scalp massages. Massage your scalp with the oil for 7-10 minutes. You can do this every day or a few times a week. You could immediately wash your hair after or after a few days. Just make sure that eventually, you do wash your hair. If you don’t wash your hair and continue to give scalp massages with JBCO, it will clog your pores and hair follicles. And this will ultimately stunt your hair growth.

Another way to use Jamaican Black Castor Oil is to put it in a hair mask. Mix a tablespoon of Jamaican Black Castor Oil with your favorite hair mask. It doesn’t matter whether it's a store-bought hair mask or a homemade hair mask. And continue to use the hair mask as usual.

If you like DIY projects, then making your own hair oil, including Jamaican Black Castor Oil, might be something you’re interested in. Jamaican Black Castor Oil is an oil that can be mixed with a lot of different oils. These oils include Peppermint Oil, Jojoba Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Olive Oil, Pomegranate Seed Oil, Amla, Lavender oil, and Almond Oil.

You can also do a hot oil treatment, with Jamaican Black Castor Oil. To use the oil during a hot oil treatment you should heat some water. After you heat the water, place the Jamaican Black Castor Oil bottle in the heated water. When the oil is warm enough, gently massage the Jamaican Black Castor Oil onto your scalp. After you have finished massaging the oil onto your scalp, you need to cover your hair with a plastic cap. You should then sit under a dryer for a maximum of 30 minutes. After that, you should wash your hair as usual.

Warning: do not put the Jamaican Black Castor Oil bottle in water that is heating, boiling or in the microwave.
