With Juneteenth finishing up it is time to write about he music that we listen to on a day to day Basis and Juneteenth and nothing fits this better than rhythm and blues as we go through the summer heat. Texas in all its glory fresh after the Alamo, had to Union soldiers sent down to free two-hundred and fifty- thousand slaves. The mighty war drums beat as they came knowing the law had changed in the land and thee land of the free had became free even more now than then!

Two years after the Emancipation Proclamation given by President Abraham Lincoln. The slaves had been fully freed in the land of America, A Nation United! A new era had started. a life without slaves. For generations to come not knowing the feeling, but only through history books a dark period almost forgotten but by memory of the horror that was slavery and a style of music popularized. Having others like reggae and jazz even with the gospel. We have come to known under a new light with a different tone. Having now Rhythm and Blues. This Black developed style in the nineteen-forties has made a different genre in itself. A glad evolution through music starting from the day of June Nineteenth, Eighteen- Sixty-Five.

Two-thousand and twenty-one the new elected President Biden, had made this effect and signed it into federal law in that year. The following year lead the nation to celebrate. With the new nationwide holiday making its way through the America, the nation got to celebrate once again. In Pittsburgh they had lined the streets in music and vendors to enjoy for three days. Libraries and other establishment had shut down while we celebrated as a city.

The music celebration ecstatic and filled the air with excitement. What an amazing day. Thousands of slaves freed from chains moving in America as Texas started to celebrate Juneteenth. Than years later out came the first R & B song "Is You Is or Is You Ain't My Baby?" While New Orleans vamped up with the new feel from jazz. New Orleans being the birthplace of many genres of black music, and known for its taste for food.

Slavery was one if not the worst moment in American history. It should of been stopped from the start and/or never participated in. It took a war to speak of ending. Than after that generation after generations to end. Presidents have been deceased over the idea. Leaders stopped, churches, holy places ruined at the thought of it. It was a hard battle for America to over turn laws. Build groups toward the better of society.

You have to give thanks to groups such as Black Lives matter and various others set to this cause. It is hard to survive the battle of discrimination over race. The days hard as it is without this extra struggle.
