WB2K23: Maryland
Maryland's Diamond Miller is a 6-3 senior who has scored 1,035 points on 45 percent shooting over her first three seasons at Maryland. She averaged a career best 17.3 points per game in 2020-21. Last season she averaged 13.1 points per game. In the first round of the NCAA Tournament she scored 23 points in a win over Delaware, where she shot 66.7 percent from the field. In round two Miller posted 24 points with nine rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block against Florida Gulf Coast. Lavender Briggs joins Miller as a potent scoring option for the Terrapins. Briggs averaged 15.8 in 61 games over three seasons at Florida. She technically only completed one full season as a Gator. She suffered a season ending injury in 2020-21 after 18 contests and entered the transfer portal in 2021-22 after 14 contests. Briggs also averaged 6.1 points and 1.2 steals during her time at Florida.

WB2K23: Purdue-Fort Wayne
Purdue-Fort Wayne went 9-21 last season. Believe it or not it was an improvement from a 1-22 season that the Mastodons had in 2020-21. Nine is the most number of wins that Fort Wayne has earned since 2014-15 when it finished 9-21 as well. Sylare Starks, a native of Fort Wayne, led her squad in scoring with a career best 11.7 points per game average. She shot 34.4 percent from three and 92 percent from the free-throw line. The 5-9 guard will be joined again by her backcourt mate Shayla Sellers, from Aurora, Ohio. Like Starks, Sellers is dangerous from long range and the charity stripe. She hit 36.2 percent of her threes while making 90.2 percent of her free-throws. She averaged 10.8 points per game which is the best of her three-year career. Another player to watch is Aubrey Stupp, who is a 5-11 guard that led Fort Wayne in rebounds at 5.3 boards per game. She collected 10 rebounds on two occasions. The first was in a 21-point, 10-rebound effort against Taylor University. The second was in the first round of the Horizon League Tournament against Robert Morris.

WB2K23: Ohio University
The Ohio Bobcats hope to bounce back from a 15-15 season which ended in a first-round loss in the Women's National Invitational Tournament to South Dakota State. The Hale sisters are back in Athens, Ohio, looking for an opportunity to showcase their talents on the court. The sisters are guards from Cininnati. Kendall is a sophomore and Jasmine, a redshirt junior. Both have the ability to hit shots from long range. Much of the Ohio squad hasn't logged a lot of minutes on the floor but Caitlyn Kroll is a veteran who should be prominent on the defensive end. The 5-10 redshirt senior from Bridgeport, Ohio has collected 66 steals in 53 contests. She averaged 32.1 minutes per game in 2020-21 as she started in all of her 23 appearances. Another player with solid defense and experience is Madi Mace. The Parkersburg, West Virginia native had five games with three steals last season.

WB2K23: Cleveland State
Cleveland State is back after a 21-9 season. It also went 12-6 in the Horizon League as well. Destiny Leo is a three-point threat who has canned 123 triples in her first two seasons as a Viking. At 5-10, from Cleveland suburb Willowick, Ohio, Leo made 29 starts last season and averaged 18.6 points per game. She shot an outstanding 90.6 percent from the free-throw line, going 125-138 from the charity stripe. Faith Burch is a redshirt-freshman who will debut after sitting out last season. On the high school level at Warren Harding, Burch, a 6-1 forward was an All-Ohio selection. She is a capable scorer and rebounder that should make a contribution to the Vikings success this season. Forward Amele Ngwafang is a 6-0 forward who was a presence on the boards and on defense last season. She led the team with 7.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocked shots per game. Ngwafang blocked a season high five shots in a late season win over Detroit Mercy. Another player to watch is 6-4 center Aminata Ly who is back from an injury which caused her to miss the entire season. A native of Dakar Senegal, Ly has blocked 51 shots in 46 contests. In 2020-21 she shot a career best 54.5 percent from the field in her second collegiate season.
