Track & Field 2k22: North Carolina State Preview
Yes it is early, but we are kicking off the "Track & Field 2k22" season. The theme of the season is "Rise of the Woman." The meaning of the theme is that it is simply time. It is time for women's sports to have a serious space in the minds of sports fans. We are not comparing women's sports to men's sports. Women's sports are unique and show everyone that times are progressing and anything is possible.

Track & Field 2k21: Gabby Thomas Grabs Olympic Bronze
Weeks back we did a feature and interview with Gabrielle "Gabby" Thomas, on what it would be like to become an Olympian as she was attempting to qualify for the games during the United States Olympic Trials. She told us, "Being an Olympian is my dream. It’s not something I thought I was capable of before the 2016 trials and ever since then it’s been the goal. I’ve been working so hard and I’ve been patient. I’ve surrounded myself with Olympians and a great environment so I’m ready to earn my spot on the team."

Hot Summer Bods of 2021 Pt. 10
Kiara Rhodes While at Tennessee, Kiara Rhodes had some successful moments. During the 2021 season she was on the first place 1,600-meter relay team at the Tennessee Challenge. She was second at the Tennessee Relays in the heptathlon. She also got a runner-up finish at the Auburn Tiger Track Classic in the 400-meter relay. Rhodes was on the third place 1,600-meter relay squad in the same meet.

Track & Field 2K21: Olympic Long Jump Qualifier
Serbia's Ivana Spanovic had the best long jump in the qualifying round at the Olympic games in Tokyo, Japan, July 30. Spanovic hit a mark of seven meters which led 12 other competitors who qualified out of a field of 28 jumpers that attempted to get to the final round. Spanovic, 31, competed in the Olympics in 2012 and 2016. She placed eighth in the long jump in 2012 and third, winning the bronze medal in 2016. She is also a two-time bronze medalist at the World Championships in 2013 and 2015. Spanovic captured gold and silver medals at the World Indoor Championships in 2018 and 2016 respectively.

More news about transfers in NCAA women's basketball. Essence Booker A 5-8 guard from Las Vegas, Essence Booker decided to leave Ball State to return home and play for UNLV. She averaged 10.9 points per game in 13 games last season. Booker's top game was a 22-point effort against Bellarmine. She shot 3-4 from three and 8-12 overall. She had a game where she hit a season's best four triples on nine attempts in a win against Akron. She poured in 14 points in that contest. During the 2019-20 season she averaged a career best 12.5 points per game as a sophomore at Nevada.

Track & Field 2k21: European U20 Championships Recap
(Above photo by @athletix_ch on Instagram) Adeleke, Ilic, Eze finish top three in Euro U20, 100 meters Ireland's Rhasidat Adeleke won the gold in the 100 meters at the European Athletics U20 Championships on July 16 in Tallin, Estonia. Adeleke was victorious with a time of 11.34, ahead of Ivana Ilic of Serbia who crossed the finish line at 11.42. Joy Eze, 17, the event's youngest competitor was third at 11.44.

Hot Summer Bods 2021 Pt. 8
Ashley Worford Ashley Worford is killing it this summer. This young woman has competed in track and field on the collegiate level for Kansas and Western Michigan, but we are referring to the Instagram posts that she has made during this summer. Now shifting her focus on being a fitness model, Worford a native of Ypsilanti, Michigan is now letting her more than 16,600 fans see that her future is bright. While at Kansas and Western Michigan, Worford competed as a sprinter. She was a part of the second place 1,600-meter relay squad at the 2018 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships. During that season she earned wins at the Kentucky Relays in the 400-meter relay at the WMU Ice Breaker, Ball State Tune-Up and Victor Lopez Classic. During her first meet at Kansas she was on the runner-up 1,600-meter relay squad at the Bob Timmons Challenge.
