Daily Life with Mental Illness
What is mental illness? Let's get one thing straight; as per the dictionary definition, a mental illness is a medical problem and it should be treated as seriously as a heart attack would be. The side effects include but are not limited to, crippling depression, anxiety, thoughts of paranoia, lose or increase of appetite, hallucinations, insomnia, and even suicide. Having a mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of. In the following paragraphs, I will be describing the hardest parts of living with a mental illness, how it is to be controlled by a mental illness, whether society as a whole truly understands what it's like to suffer with a mental illness on a daily basis, and question if a person can ever begin to be at ease with their mental illness.

For You I Will - Chapter Three
Author's note: For those of you who are here for the smut, it's temporarily been put on hold. I promise it will return in the next chapter. Also, from here on out, there will be graphic topics that aren't suited for some audiences. I in no way condone sexual or physical abuse nor do I condone child abuse.

Night Out
Dressed in black from head to toe, fishnets, reeking of Viva La Juicy, I stood inconspicuously at the corner of the bar. Why was I here? I didn't know. This wasn't my scene. It was Saturday night and the place was packed. An up-and-coming band was setting up their equipment near the dance floor. I was terrified.

For You I Will - Chapter One
The love we shared was like straight out of fiction. I still wake up in the early hours of the morning, in a cold sweat, having dreamt of you. Your skin brushed up against mine and I was in heaven. Those are the best dreams, the ones where you're still here with me. It's the waking up that hits me like a ton of bricks. The sudden realization of your immediate absence. You've been away for so long now but every passing day is a constant reminder that life marches on. Life goes on without you whether I like it or not.

Fictional Television Characters Who Changed My Life
10. Kevin McAllister - Home Alone & Home Alone 2: Lost in New York It's a no brainer. At the beginning of first film, Kevin is seen annoyed with his family. He thinks he's better off without them. Imagine his surprise when he wakes up on the morning of the day he and his entire extended family were supposed to be leaving for France only to find that he's *gasp* home alone. Kevin is forced to do things a child his age would never normally have to face, such as but not limited to, outsmarting two burglars named Harry and Marv who are determined to break in to the seemingly empty house. He steps up and protects his house, while facing his fears of the scary neighbor and the furnace in the basement. When his family finally makes their way home, Kevin is delighted by their return, just in time for Christmas. By the next movie, a year later, and Christmastime again, Kevin is back to his ways. Now a little older, he has been around the block. He doesn't want to go to Florida for Christmas, it just isn't right to him. He just wants to stay home with his family. I find it heart warming when Kevin goes out of his way to stop the two criminals a second time after Kevin winds up in New York City by himself, bumping to them again once they've broke out of prison, they tell him their newest plan: they're going to rob the toy store Kevin had visited not long ago, Duncan's Toy Chest. Along the way, Kevin befriends the strange woman in Central Park who had previously scared the bejesus out of him, learning the important life lesson that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

Creating a Delicious Meal with Ramen and Not Much Else (A How to Guide on Cooking When You're Broke)
I was meandering through the kitchen the other day, sulking over the lack of food that was in my fridge and pantries. My stomach growled. What was I going to eat? "Wait," said my brain. A lightbulb was suddenly flickering above my head. There's frozen vegetables left in the freezer, plenty of ramen in the pantry. Maybe, just maybe, that was enough to make something great. Or tolerable. At that point, tolerable would be just fine. I quickly got to work on my plan.

The Diary of a Broke, Anxious Woman Living with Depression
As a kid, I never knew. Sadly, mental health does not get covered in schools nearly enough, or at least it didn't when I was there. That's why I never even knew I was plagued with mental illness at such a young age. I just assumed what everyone assumed. I was a weird kid. There was no way I could've known any better.
