Souvenir's Young America: A Good Band You've Probably Never Heard
We live in a troubled age, and how we treat music (and musicians) reflects that. I won't say musicians are always treated badly, but they are often chronically overlooked. Unless they're created by corporations, for corporations, they'll probably struggle to gain exposure for their craft. Great bands go largely unnoticed, then largely fade away.

Should You Enter the 'House on Haunted Hill' (1999)?
To those who were there: The year 1999 seemed fantastical, didn't it? Life sucked in some key ways, but one could just feel the potential of the new millennium. We could almost reach out and touch it; we'd have flying cars everywhere, social strife would surely be ameliorated, and boredom nearly obliterated.

A Look at Corrosion of Conformity's 'Wiseblood'
I'm only 36-years-old (as of this writing), but seeing how old some albums are puts that number in perspective. Corrosion of Conformity's Wiseblood is just such an album. It came out in 1996, when I was about 14-years-old. It's hard to believe it, but that makes this album itself 21-years-old! In any case, this album holds up extremely well for me. I don't think there's a single stinker track on it.

Darlie Routier: Innocent or Guilty?
Rowlett, Texas. On February 4, 1997, Darlie Routier was sentenced to death by lethal injection for allegedly murdering her 5 year old son Damon (her other son, Devon, was also killed, but it never reached trial). She says they were attacked by an intruder, and she indeed had a hospital stay. Still, due to certain forensic experts, she was convicted for the alleged murder.
