National poetry month has come to a close, and Vocal’s Poets in Motion contest has ended with it! We asked our creators to submit their most artistic, emotional, or hilarious original poetry inspired by movement—and you all delivered. With nearly 800 awesome poems officially entered into the contest, it wasn’t easy to come to a decision.
SoundCloud has become an essential tool for many talented artists—offering them tools and community to share their music, reach fans, find potential collaborators, all while honing their craft.
Because we have so many talented, dedicated poets in Vocal's network, we decided that we had to do something special to celebrate National Poetry Month! We've announced a community-wide contest, and we want you to be a part of it.
With just the basics—a passion and a place to share it—anyone is able to create an engaging, enjoyable story. But to create a portfolio of stories that each have longevity, originality, and can help you build a dedicated fan base? That might take a little more help.
As a creator, it’s important for you to be consistent, but it can be particularly hard to create on-demand. We all know that inspiration doesn’t strike on a schedule, and creativity can wither away just when you need it the most. Still, you need captivating stories that are fresh and engaging so you can attract—and keep—readers.
Creators come in all shapes and sizes—podcasters, novelists, poets, musicians, artists, enthusiasts, vloggers, and more—but we all have one thing in common: we have stories to share with the world.
