Friedrich Nietzsche once said: "we must have chaos within to give birth to a dancing star." As the chaos rages on, the Moderation Team at Vocal has continued to see an influx of creative ideas from our talented community, proving that chaos does, in fact, inspire.
What a week it's been. Between election anxiety, the unnecessary presidential drama, and another spike in Covid-19 cases, it's been hard to focus on anything else, but we managed to round up yet another awesome collection of stories to share with you today.
We're wrapping up another month with a new round of To the Beat! This month's playlist is one to motivate, spook, and inspire, with plenty of throwbacks and classics, fit for any event. Beat, our music community, had incredible stories based on different experiences and tastes in music that led us to create this one of a kind playlist for you. We found songs that mean a lot to you, help you get through stressful times, and some feel-good jams that boosted our workday mood this week.
"What day is it?" we used to ask every morning. Now we ask, "What year is it?" and the answer, sadly, hasn't changed in a very long time.
Time for another roundup from the Moderation Team!
Reading your stories continues to be the highlight of our days, as it brings us closer to the creators and voices that fuel Vocal. As always, we've been hard at work giving ♥️s and tips to all our favorites. From penguin photography to the dreaded and ongoing "War on Tomatoes," the stories featured below are a few of the best. Let's get to it.
We're back and ready to get into the fall spirit with another To the Beat! September's playlist is one of the most diverse roundups we've had so far! The genres you loved this month were the usuals—rap, oldies, and rock & roll—but also included pop-punk, reggae, Russian techno, and even classical! There is quite literally something for everyone on September's playlist, so whether you're leaf-peeping, pumpkin picking, or drinking a PSL, turn up the dial and listen to this month's To the Beat at the bottom of this story.
