Lifetime Review: 'High School Lover'
Lifetime's recent release and the subject of my last review, Stalked by a Reality Star, drew comparisons in my mind to another film in Lifetime's repertoire, so I decided, "Why not give that one a review as well?" Released in 2017, High School Lover drew in viewers with the appearance of James Franco, who made a splash on the channel the previous year with the network's remake of Lifetime classic Mother, May I Sleep with Danger? While Franco was sadly relegated to a minor role in his first trip to Lifetime, he appears in a much larger role for High School Lover.

Lifetime Review: 'Stalked by a Reality Star'
Sometimes, a movie that isn't going too well for much of it can make a surprise comeback in the final moments. Sometimes, all it takes is a well laid twist or a well executed climax to make whatever suffering the rest of the movie caused worth while. Such is the case for Lifetime's latest film, Stalked by a Reality Star.

Lifetime Review: 'Deadly Delusion'
Poor poor Haylie Duff. It seems she just can't catch a break in the Lifetimeverse. Whether it's getting married to a psycho doctor or being chloroformed by her college stalker, Ms. Duff seems to always be getting put through the wringer by this channel. The trend continues with her latest return to Lifetime's small screen, with Haylie being the victim of a tale circa 1944's Gaslight.

Lifetime Review: 'The Twin'
If anyone who works in Lifetime is reading this, I'd like to take a moment to ask you for a favor: once, just once, I'd like you to make a movie about identical twins where one of the twins isn't a homicidal manic. It would be so cool to maybe use twins for another cinematic purpose—like maybe a movie about twins working to solve their mother's unsolved murder or teaming up to take down a violent stalker. Something beside a non-scientific take on Jekyll and Hyde would be a much appreciated surprise.

Lifetime Review: 'The Wrong Roommate'
With Valentine's Day either here or just now passing, I decided it was only fitting to make up for my last review by picking a great Lifetime flick for my last "Tainted Love" review (or at least, the last one I'm making a point of doing a series of, because Lord knows Lifetime loves to turn love deadly). Not only is the acting good, but the plot is surprisingly fresh and is intriguing as it is riveting at times.

Lifetime Review: 'Til Death Do Us Part'
Poor Haylie Duff can't catch a break with Lifetime, it seems. Apart from 2012's Home Invasion and a borderline case with the more recent The Bachelor Next Door, it seems hardly any of her movies are as entertaining or thrilling as some of the better movies Lifetime has put out. It's a shame, too, since Duff has proved herself in many of her movies that she's capable of great acting; it's just that many times, the movies she's given leave her with little to work with.

Lifetime Review: 'Sinister Minister'
Well, this had to come eventually, so let's get out of the way. After spending the past few reviews praising some of Lifetime's best "Tainted Love" movies in dedication of the month of Valentine's Day, I decided it was time for me to show the lesser side of Lifetime. It exists, and it's something that fans of the network need to come to terms with to become stronger fans that can more readily provide credible support to this beloved network.

Lifetime Review: 'Deadly Lessons'
As someone in the midst of college, I can speak from firsthand experience that it can get hairy. There's homework, student labor, and final exams that make you want to pull your hair out. It can be a lot to deal with, so for a college student in the Lifetimeverse, you know it has to be doubly hard. One can only imagine how hard it must be to focus on a paper due next week when you've got a homicidal stalker or psychopathic roommate to deal with.

Lifetime Review: 'The Girl He Met Online'
Sometimes, movies work when you don't think they should. But when it comes to Lifetime, even the worst sounding plot or concept can be made into something entertaining in the hands of the right people. Initially, The Girl He Met Online (which was released a year after the bland Husband She Met Online) seemed like it was just a generic ripoff of Met Online's previous iteration. But surprisingly, the end product was a flawed but ultimately, an incredibly watchable flick.

Lifetime Review: 'The Husband She Met Online'
Sadly, Lifetime's 2013 installment in their "Met Online" series is the series' first misstep. With The Boy She Met Online and The Wife He Met Online raising the bar for Lifetime with excellent characters and surprisingly original plot, this film had a lot to measure up to and unfortunately fell below the bar.

Lifetime Review: 'The Wife He Met Online'
Like many things in life, marriage can often fail if it's rushed into. Sadly, it seems Lifetime protagonists have not quite learned that it's best to wait to make sure the person you're prepared to walk down the aisle with and take vows of eternal love for isn't a psychopath, serial killer, child predator, or some hybrid of those three (damn, what a movie that would make....) So often times, if a Lifetime movie starts with two people getting married, one of them is a psychopath.
