Eau Claire County: RR 45
The Rustic Roads program was created about 40 years ago and allows hikers, bikers, and motorists to enjoy the less traveled, scenic back roads of Wisconsin regardless of the season. These routes help to enhance the beauty and serenity that the state has to offer. There are approximately 119 individual routes that travel through 59 counties and when added up equal about 722 miles.

A Light In The Dark
One Week Later... Lights and sirens surround the lighthouse, men in uniform calling out orders are partially lost in the crashing waves. "What happened here?" asks the lead detective.
Ship On The Horizon
The pounding of the waves against the rocks never stops even on calm waters. It is music to her ears and a lullaby at night. She steps out of the house and stretches slightly, reaching up into the air, releasing the knots that have formed after a quick nap. A long sigh escapes her lips as she lets her arms fall beside her and looks around. A few feet away is the majestic grey lighthouse, also known as the ghost lighthouse because her color camouflages her in fog with only the beacon of light shining through. Some Captains even call it the angel lighthouse because out of the dark her light shines bright giving them guidance to safety.
Driving Wisconsin To N Dakota
As I pack the car and double-check I have everything, Aria looks at me with wonder, confusion, and curiosity; is she really going to go along? It isn't until the harness goes on and her food is packed that she becomes excited about watching me finish packing. We say our good-byes and hit the road, but before we get too comfortable we have to make a pit stop.
A Light In The Dark
The waves crash against the rocks of the Oregon coast, the sand is cool under the moonlit sky. Jackie steps off of the final step that leads down from the parking lot and begins walking the beach. She is smiling from ear to ear and looks up to the star-filled night. A warm, gentle breeze blows her shoulder-length, blonde hair away from her face. She is tall and trim and wearing a long, pale cotton dress that lightly blows as the wind passes her.
The world is a beautiful place and we need to take care of it. It all starts at home, one little change at a time. The first one is recycling. Every single thing that can be recycled can and will be, I only wish recycling was twice a month instead of only once a month. Plastic bottles and containers, about 90% of everything that is bought, it fills up quickly and it would be nice to see that happen more often. We are also dealing with a pandemic, things are being delivered in boxes that need to be broken down and also take up space.
I stand outside anxiously awaiting my turn to go in, sit down, and eat. I step back in time the moment I walk through the front door. A small entrance with the walls still the same from the moment it opened. Inside the dining room, several tables are seen throughout, most of them able to accommodate two or four people. Round tables, square tables, and all have checkered table cloths.
