The Party Swap
There was something very disturbing about seeing Chuck Schumer (the Democratic Senate Minority Leader) and Dick Durbin (also a sitting Democratic Senator) sitting with Republican Senate Majority Leader McConnell when I watched the late Sen. McCain’s funeral on Saturday. Especially coming after it was reported on Friday that there was a secret backroom deal that "Charlatan" Chuck cut with "Ug Mug" McConnell behind closed doors to rush through 15 Trump appointed federal judges "so that members could go back home and campaign." That is all while he and other old white male democrats continue to try and squelch the fire and enthusiasm burning in the electorate in revulsion to the GOP and Trump.

The North's Gentleman's Agreement with the South
Considering we just ushered in the first week of college football this past weekend, it’s fitting that this analogy leaped out at me. There has been an unholy alliance, an unspoken ‘gentleman’s agreement’ between the north and the south since the end of the Civil War – in politics and on the gridiron.

"What the Hell They Got to Do with Ohio?"
George Voinovich, late Gov. of Ohio, said it best back in 2009 when asked, what is wrong with the Republican Party? He answered: “We got too many Jim DeMints (South Carolina) and Tom Coburns (Oklahoma). It’s the southerners. They get on TV and go ‘errr, errrr.’ People hear them and say, '…these people, they’re southerners. The party’s being taken over by southerners. What the hell they got to do with Ohio?'"

"Why Us?" Say White Male Democrats
For one thing, being represented by a White man in a district that’s predominately Black and Brown and female—no matter how progressive the person—is actually not representative in the way a representative democracy is supposed to be. It’s a matter of perspective.

Of Course a Sitting POTUS Can Be Indicted!
If I hear one more talking head, so-called expert, or congressperson say "Of course you can’t indict a sitting US President," my head is going to explode—the complacent leading the apathetic! For fuck's sake Americans, we are fast becoming the generation that Ben Franklin (one of the founders of this country) feared.
