Osama bin Laden VS Ayman al-Zawahiri
Is a Terrorist Group Only as Strong as it is Leader? Terrorist groups form through ideas and goals from groups of similar individuals that believe their government is no longer listening to them, and violence is the only way. Terrorist leaders have a set of ideologies and goals that tend to draw individuals into their ranks and over time; those individuals become brainwashed into believing the group is the only home for them. Most terrorist leaders have some of the same traits and values, which tend to be very charismatic, great communicators, the ability to manipulate and have others genuinely believe in their cause. They are also highly intelligent and have ideologies that not only make sense to themselves, but others can find common ground which makes it easy for recruitment. Some terrorist groups tend to be more dangerous than others and can strike fear and intimidation into their enemies. As seen in the terrorist group al-Qaeda, under the regime of Osama bin Laden, struck fear into the hearts and minds of United States citizens with their 9/11 attacks. However, now, under the current regime of Ayman, Al-Zawahiri cannot seem to even match the power of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). An interesting theory to examine is a terrorist group only has strong has the leader in charge of it. This paper will compare Osama bin Laden and Ayman Al-Zawahiri's leadership and communication styles within the terrorist group al-Qaeda. It will go over their experience and traits to see how that has affected their decisions and led al-Qaeda during their regimes.

Federal Emergency Management Agency
When it comes to defending the American people from disasters, the government must ensure that this country's citizens are provided with as much protection and care as possible. During the year 1979, there was a total of 6,855 natural disasters within the world (Ritchie, 2019). This was one reason that prompted President Carter to sign Executive Order 12127 in April 1979, which established the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and gave them the mission of emergency management and civil defense within the United States (FEMA, 2020). In 2002, President Bush signed the Homeland Security Act, creating the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which united FEMA under DHS, making them no longer an independent agency (FEMA, 2020). Since joining DHS, FEMA has had many challenges including budget and staff cuts, along with authority concerns from DHS running federal responses instead of FEMA staff (Bosner, 2020). This paper’s thesis will provide the reader with an overall view of disasters FEMA has faced since joining DHS, challenges they have encountered since falling under the structure of DHS, and the benefits of changing FEMA back to an independent agency.

Undocumented Migrants
It only takes a few issues for an individual to start the radicalization process and turn down the path of terrorism. These may be extreme cases of seeing one’s family murdered in their homes by Soldiers or just feeling like they are not being heard. Moghaddam’s staircase to terrorism states that individuals on the first staircase feel disgruntled and seek solutions, while individuals on the second staircase begin to feel they have had grave injustices (Moghaddam, 2005).

Office Space
Office Space was written and produced by Mike Judge in February 1999; professional critics gave it a score of 80% on rottentomates.com. However, the score given by the audience was 93%. How would a movie receive such a low score from trusted critics be so high with audience members? This is because Mike Judge was able to capture the essence of everyday life within a dead-end job and being forced to take the punishment of the job to live. This is something everyone in a job has felt one way or another throughout their years of working. Therefore, Office Space was able to hit Cult film status, and it is relevant to this course because it proves that if enough people can relate and like something, it can become quite popular despite what the professionals think.

Popular Culture’s Perception of Sexuality and Elderly People
An American view of sex, as we age, is not to think of our parents having sex or even to think of our grandparents having sex. It is a very taboo subject and one that many people shy away from in views of disgust. The fact of the matter is that as we age, we continue to be human beings who want to feel that love and connection that sex can provide through physiological, psychological, and social aspects. While medical science is advancing and we as a species live longer, older adults are bound to have these urges still and want to have that connection. However, as American's, we poke fun of the Elderly having sex by making jokes, silly cartoons, or we call them old perverts. Could it be that as a society, we have been brought up to think that older adults having sex is so disgusting and taboo that we poke fun of it, so we do not have to think of being in that position one day?
