May of 2019 was a different time. We could still go to school and work. Masks were something for Halloween, not each time you step out the door. And we did not yet know the end of Game of Thrones.
I've always been on the petite side, as had my mother and grandmother before me. Climbing on the top of counters to reach the highest shelves, jumping to grab the handle to my car trunk and the inevitable "while you're down there..." jokes were all too common in my life. It never bothered me too much, as my small stature was a huge asset in the time I spent doing gymnastics in my pre-teen and teen years.
