Bio
Hello,
This is my second act in life. I've always to give writing a try. My fourth grade teacher once told me that my stories always made her feel something. I really didn't understand that being so young but I get it now.

Our Love Story is Over...For Now
Our love story began on September 10, 2010. I was just scanning the pages of our local newspaper when I came upon an ad. A very tired Mother of five children was looking to find a forever home for her Chihuahua. I wasn't even thinking about adopting a dog, cat, horse or anything at that time. It just happened. There was a tingling in my hands and a flutter in my heart. I knew he belonged with me. Milo, you were living only five blocks away from us. This fact was the glue that sealed the envelope in my mind that we belonged together.

A Royal Wedding
This is such an exciting day! Luanne had been waiting for her one true love, just as all young people do, for as long as she could remember. She knew there was no such thing as a perfect wedding but she and her sisters had done the best they could.

More than an Eyeroll!
Emergency Medical Services, as with any public service, is very fluid. We go from job to job, ( "job" is the term we used instead of " call" ) We never know what we're going to be walking in on until we literally walk in. One of the best parts of the our job is that one day is never the same as the next and our " office" is our ambulance. Oh, and just so you know, it's not cool to vomit on the office floor.

The Smell of Death?!
Oh my friends Emergency Service agencies get so many different calls for help that I think the general public would be really surprised but on occasion we are surprised as well. This was the case when we were dispatched to, " The Smell of Death."

Stand Back Testosterone,
I think every woman who works in a male dominated field has had a male partner who feels protective of her. The need to keep their female partners can sometimes be, well, a bit too much. Don't get me wrong. I appreciated all of my male partners looking out for me but I was also always looking out for them. We had each other's six. ( we had each other's backs.)

Bear
We have a beautiful fall night , didn't we? The sky could have been more clear. I don't believe we'd ever taken a walk with so many stars watching us, right? The cherry on top of this bittersweet night was that lightly gusting wind. We love having having the wind whip our hair around. up and down, up and down. We enjoyed the heck out of that!! My hair is longer than yours was but we are both brunettes!

Black History Month
I began writing this piece in January hoping to be able to celebrate what Black History month was all about. Check your calendar Teresa, It's April.! Duh! I know that, just settle down. I did a lot of research and I just wasn't ready to share until now. This research was fascinating and sometimes infuriating
