The Top 10 Things I’m Looking Forward to Doing After the Pandemic
Who wants this awful pandemic to come to an end? Who wants to go out and do the things they love again? I'm definitely one of those people who wants this gruesome era to come to a halt, so I can connect with my friends and family and do the things I love doing without "walking on eggshells".

My Dream Destination: Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan is a country located in Central Asia. Uzbekistan lies primarily between two major rivers called the Syr Darya (also known as the ancient Jaxartes River) to the northeast, and the Amu Darya (also known as the ancient Oxus River) to the southwest. Uzbekistan is bordered by other Central Asian countries like Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to the east and southeast, Kazakhstan to the northwest and north, Afghanistan to the south, and Turkmenistan to the southwest. The independent republic of Karakalpakstan (also spelled Qoraqalpoghiston) is situated in the western third of Uzbekistan. The Soviet government founded the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic as a union republic of the USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) in 1924. Uzbekistan declared its autonomy from the USSR on August 31, 1991 and the capital is Tashkent (also spelled Toshkent).

Autism Is Not a Disease
When I was two years old, I was diagnosed with Autism. After my diagnosis, my mom quit her job at Pitney Bowes to arrange my ABA (applied behaviour analysis) sessions at home. During my childhood, livng with Autism was both meaningful and frustrating. I would have constant metldowns in which I would engage in self-destructive behaviours like head banging. I also had awesome talents and character traits like extraversion, memory and most importantly, I appreciated and valued life!

Relax, Eat and Watch the Super Bowl
Unless I'm with my friends who enjoy watching the Super Bowl, I don't care that much for the Super Bowl game. I mainly perceive this opportunity to spend some quality time with my friends, as well as pig out on my favourite junk foods, as opposed to simply watching the game. I also love to use this opportunity to make homemade food to share with my friends. I've never been the type of person to watch sports games, like my dad and my brothers. When they would be spending time watching hockey games in the living room together, I would often read a book on the large beige sofa, spend time in the basement, or hibernate in my bedroom. If I was doing nothing in the living room, I would pretend to watch the games, just to enjoy their company.

How Living in a Residential Facility Has Changed My Life For the Better
On August 1st 2018, my life changed for the better of my mental health and future. After being on the waiting list for a 1-bedroom apartment from June 2017-May 2018, I finally received the positive news: I would be moving out from my family home for the first time. When my dad found out I was off the waiting list, and informed me of the possibility of moving out in the summer of 2018, he called me as I was out in the community dog walking. After he notified me, my heart pounded in excitement. This was going to be a huge change for me, but it was for the best of my mental health and future. As the weeks went by, I began to experience intrusive thoughts and a few mental health episodes in which I would cry, have trouble sleeping, perseverate on the same worry, and experience full-on panic attacks. That being said, the feelings of excitement, joy, nervousness, sadness, and disbelief didn't vanish until August 1st 2018, when I moved into my own apartment in an apartment complex for people with different abilities.
