Step-by-step guide to scheduling
Well for some of us we need and thrive on a schedule, for many others it's just a hard thing to do. Maybe you make a schedule, but you feel like you are not being the most effective throughout the day. Most people can make a schedule or a plan, but it might not be the most effective way to go through your day. Making an effective schedule is something else all together. I find that I need a schedule, a to-do list, something that gives me task that I need to accomplish and something to bring scrutcure to my day. When I was laid off the first time during the pandemic, I didn't really make a schedule. And I found that the days just blended together. I also felt like I came out of the 2 months wondering what I did with all that time and feeling like I had wasted an opportunity. So going into it for the second time I made sure that I was going to do things differently to make use of my time.

Dear Donald
Dear Donald I understand that I am just a Canadian single mother and that you might not care about my opinion. Though I'm sure you don't care about anyone else's opinion but your own. Set goals not resolutions
I think we can all agree that we are happy that 2020 is over and that 2021 is finally here. I felt this year while it had it's ups and downs, just felt so long. I at one point felt like it was never going to end. Every new years I think everyone makes their resolutions for the new year. But 80% of resolutions fail. And if you were like me I usually made the sale resolutions every year telling myself that this year would be different, that I would make it happen and this would be my year. Only to at some point get discouraged and lose my focus. I know that if you keep doing the same thing and hoping for a different resolute that you will get nowhere and that is insane. So I am determined to do something different and hope for a better resolute. If you don't like your life then it is up to you to change it. There is no magic fairy that is going to come and change it for you. You have to do it and you have to make it happen. So this year I am setting goals and intentions for my year. The main difference for me between goals and resolutions is that goals should be measurable and specific.

Trying 10 days no carbs or sugar
Like many people I first heard about this from Jennifer Lopez who had done it. Of course like many I thought that it was totally crazy. A lot of people started doing it to help them lose weight. While I have been on a weight loss journey, I knew that something like this was not going to help me lose weight and keep it off. You would of course lose a lot of water weight. But when I heard about it, it did get me thinking about just how hard it would be. When talking to people it was, well what can you eat? It made me curious just how long could I do it, could I do it for the whole 10 days. So I decided to try it out.
