Becoming a mom makes you really think about yours
It wasn't until I became a mother when I really looked at my past and how my parents were with me. Before I had my daughter I don't think that I really thought it. I am a person that doesn't really think about the past once it is over. I like to deal with things and move on, move forward.

5 easy changes to make a change
When I first decided that I really wanted to make a change and do my part to help the environment, I have to admit I got totally overwhelmed. There were so many choices on changes that you can make to really make a difference. And while I thought it was important, was I really prepared to get rid of almost everything I had and buy new things? I could afford that, and that is also not better for the environment to toss certain things. When I first started doing research I gave up, saying that's too much for me to handle never mind. However, it was really important to me, so I would come back to it determined that I was going to do something better. Here are 5 very easy things you can do to start your journey of being better for the environment.

My digital detox journey
I have heard about a digital detox many times before. For a long time I never put much thought into it. Even when I got a 30-day digital detox in a subscription box. There are 30 cards, and you do one a day for 30 days. Not only about social media, but it also has activities that do not require any technology, such as doing a recipe from an actual cookbook. When I first got them I put them aside thinking, oh that's nice, and didn't think much about it after that. When we went into the second lockdown it was winter, and so it was very cold where I am. Being stuck at home all the time, and really unable to go anywhere, well it can get fairly boring. I was finding myself filling my days just endlessly scrolling on social media, wasting hours and days. I found that I wasn't being present. Everything I did I always had my phone open. I realized that I needed a change when I would put my phone down and leave the room. Then my daughter would always bring my phone to me, like I had to have my phone on me.

How alone are we?
When you feel lonely, alone and depressed, it's easy to not focus on it. I could focus on the day-to-day routine of my life and not have to face the reality of all the things I was feeling. But then the pandemic last year hit and life as we knew it had changed. Nothing was the same from then on. The first lockdown didn't really affect me as much. I was off for a couple of months and went back feeling refreshed and like everything would be okay. The summer however was very tough, and I struggled through most of it. Like I usually do when I find myself in a depression I go into myself. I am a person that doesn't like to share a lot of things with people. So when I am struggling at it, it's hard for me to let anyone in to tell them. Then the second lockdown happened. Somehow it seemed more permanent to me. Being in Canada it is fairly cold in the winter, depending on where you live in this great country. Like many I dislike the cold and so it was the perfect storm of being isolated. As the lockdown continued I would find myself more and more isolated from the world. Days and weeks started blending into each other. It was so easy to lose track of what day of the week it was or what day of the month frankly. I found myself feeling like days and hours were just passing me by. I would very often think at the end of a day, 'what did I even do today'. There are 24 hours in a day, but to me, it could have been 2 hours as I would have gotten the same amount of stuff done.

How social media can influence you
Within the last year purchasing online has exploded due to the pandemic all over the world. It is easy to be influence by what you see and to go into a black hole where you spend too much on things that you don't need. However, it can also be a great thing if you do it correctly.

Best Organization Tips
I love having things organized all the time. Though I know that it is not that easy for everyone. If you are not a naturally organized person, you might think that you don't need things to be organized, you work best when it's not. However, if you just try it you will be surprised how much easier it will make your life. And it doesn't have to cost you a lot of money either.

Who motivates you?
One of the most motivational people for me has been a man named Shaun T. For those that do not know who he is, he is a fitness trainer with a company called Beachbody. I believe he has over 12 programs and counting that he has. My first experience with him was a program called Insanity, which is very bit as insane as it sounds. Beachbody now has a streaming service where they stream all their programs basically. But when I first did it, this was when you would purchase the DVD's through things like infomercials. I wasn't in good shape and told myself that I would do this and get into great shape. Of course that is not how it really works as I now know. So when I first tried it, I thought what the heck is wrong with him, what crazy person does it and thinks this is a good idea. Of course, I did not finish it all. It is not a program for someone who isn't fully and totally dedicated to changing their lives. Of course now he does have shorter ones and different programs for different skill levels. But if you want to know what he is about, for me Insanity shows what he is all about. Yes he is hard, but he will push you past any point that you think that you have.

5 Movies to watch if you need some motivation
Let's face it 2020 was a tough year. And I think it made all of us look at things a little differently. If you are like me, it made you rethink your life and what was really important to you. It made me look at my values and what I stand for and want to do better. Wanting to do more and better with my life. Movies are a great way to get you thinking and maybe give some motivation on how you can change your life. It's not about doing the exact same thing as the person in the movie, but take the overall message of the movie to be able to apply it to your life.

Does your sign matter?
Most people have some experience with horoscopes, stars and all that means for you. I have known people who think that it is ridiculous and people who follow it exactly. Well I have not followed it exactly I do generally believe in it. I believe that horoscopes, astrology, star signs and all of that does mean something and can be helpful in your life. Though what does your horoscope sign really mean? Most people have a general idea what their sign means, however do you really know? Before doing this article I had a general idea of what I thought that it meant to be a Scorpio. It wasn't until I really thought about it that I asked myself do I really know what it means to be a Scorpio. Looking into it, I found it very interesting to see what was really true to me and made me rethink things that I thought was really true.

Revenge
She woke up in the morning, and he had already gone to work, like every other time she had stayed there. He had always told her that he wanted to feel welcome in his home. As she started to get ready she couldn't help but to look around. She wondered for a moment why the place had so little things in it. Though he had told her that he was a minimalist, such an attractive quality she always thought. She wished that she could be more like that, be able to live with less stuff. Maybe he will rub off on me, she thought to herself. As she went to grab something to eat before leaving, she saw a black book on his desk. Something that she had never before. She went to it and thought about looking at it. He must have forgotten it, she thought. But knowing that it was wrong she walked away, she had no reason not to trust him, she thought. She grabbed something to eat and went about the rest of her day.

Supplement review
Like so many people out there when you start really getting into working and fitness, you see a lot of people taking different supplements. If you were like me, once you start going down the rabbit hole it's hard to know what is really necessary. There are supplements for everything nowadays. Once I started getting some I found it was hard to know what I should really do, what I really needed. I started getting so many, too many most likely, and found that I was quickly overwhelmed trying to drink all the different supplements that I had. So here are some that I have tried that I found either helpful or not worth it.

Choices
He woke up in the morning and watched her sleeping peacefully. He just looked at her and in the way that the light would hit her face. She looked peaceful, like an angel. It was in that moment that he knew that he loved her, that he knew that she was the one. They had known each other only for about a month, and this was the first night that they had spent together. But it was all in the way that she looked at him that he knew. It didn't matter what or how much he had, she loved him truly and purely for who he was. She woke up and found him staring at her and couldn't help but to smile.
