Nightmare Canvas: Blue
Her eyes stung with every step as she braced herself against the mountain's biting winds. As she walked, her feet sunk deeper and deeper into the snow until she was waist deep and could no longer move her legs normally. Her teeth chattered and she hugged herself tightly as she stared out at the smoke in the distance.

Nightmare Canvas: Green
Everything felt different to her. The room she woke up in today wasn't the same as the one she fell asleep in last night. Everything from the curtains to the carpet was devoid of their original colors and was now pure white. The LEDs that lined the top and bottom of the walls appeared brighter than they actually were and flashed red each time she attempted to open the door. She only made three attempts, but it was on that third attempt that the knob morphed into a blade and left a deep cut on her palm.

Pressed Flowers
Normal people had their diaries, I had a book of pressed flowers. In it were years of memories, both good and bad, accompanied by a flower. Each time I opened the book to add a new entry, I'd always read over the previous ones just to remember the feelings I had before the current day, to see my own personal growth.

Bella and the Box
Bella’s ears perked up as soon as she heard the front door slam shut. At first, she let out a low growl and kept watch from the bed. It was when she heard footsteps wandering through the house that she lept down and ran out. It didn’t take long for her to pick up her owner’s scent as she ran into the kitchen to greet her.

Ritual
She stood with her hands folded in front of her, watching as the sun set behind the barn. As the sun descended below the horizon, it left a reddish orange glow that looked like fire. The clouds drifted towards the east, fleeing the sunset as smoke would an actual fire. It was a sight to see, but it was short-lived as the moon rose in the sun’s place.

Coppélia
She stood in the doorway, watching in silence as the instructor went over the choreography for the troupe’s upcoming ballet. It was a love story about king falling for a commoner that resembled his late wife. She’s only seen it once before, but that was enough for her to dream of being the lead.

Consequences of War
It has been four years since the war began. Everything started when the military used nuclear weapons to eliminate those who stood against the reigning queen’s rule. Smaller cities were the first to be destroyed and had higher casualties. Citizens in the larger cities evacuated beforehand. The beautiful skyscrapers and shopping centers that were former symbols of prosperity were now hollow shells of what they once were. The post-evacuation bombings destroyed some buildings while the resulting blasts shattered the windows in others. Most of the surviving architecture fell victim to the elements and disintegrated.
