Bio
I'm a mom of 3 plus a bonus son. I've discovered I love writing, and in my free time, that's what I do! I may not be the best, but that will not stop me! It can only go up from here! I hope you enjoy the words that trickle out of my head.

The Ending is the Beginning
My day started relatively normal. I rolled out of bed, got dressed and woke up my six-month-old son Eli. I gave him a bottle and got him ready for the day. I sat him down in his bouncer while I woke up my husband, Jack, for work. He opened his eyes, smiled at me, and pulled me into bed.

Mother's Chocolate Cake
Every year on my husband William's birthday, I was required to make him a cake. The first time I was more than happy to prepare his perfect chocolate cake. It was his mother's recipe and it was fairly simple to follow, or so I thought.

A Different Tale Of Corduroy Bear
Growing up, I don't remember all the stories I listened to, but the one I remember most is Corduroy. The cute little bear in the corduroy overalls, only my mom, told a different tale of the Corduroy Bear. Now my mom was known for telling my siblings and me stories she made up. She did her best to get our attention any way she could to get us to listen.

The Cold Case Of Cecil Travis Gaddy
When it comes to true crime, I'll be the first to admit I love it. Whether it's a documentary about serial killers, a news article, or a random video I come across, I'm too intrigued to pass it up. Something inside me is compelled to find out and learn all the details involved in the case.

My Mother Taught Me How To Be Strong
When I think of motherhood, my first thought is strength. If you're anything like my mom, you had to have that to survive. She's the strongest lady I know. At the age of 19, in 1972 she had her first baby. Even at a youthful age, she had to overcome tragedy. In her teens and early twenties, she lost two brothers. One died in a car accident and the other was fatally shot. Losing a sibling is pain I hope no one ever has to endure. I know about this suffering, but I couldn't imagine how she felt grieving the death of two in such a short time.

The Harmony Slasher: Mr. Winslow's Revenge
“ESCAPED!!” I screamed! Scrambled and in shock, I started to pace around my apartment, “How did he escape?” I was scared to death. He would come after me; I knew he would. I was the reason he got caught in the first place. I thought after all these years, I would be safe. I was just starting to move past all of the psychological trauma caused by Mr. Winslow's murdering spree.

I Want My Full Size Shirts Back
I'm not afraid to admit my sense of style is pretty lame. My closet basically consists of concert t-shirts and a few dresses that hang there and look pretty. I do have some nice clothes but honestly I don't keep up with all the latest trends. I wear whatever I feel like that day.

Timeless Horizons
I couldn’t believe my Great Grandma Violet lived to be 101. She had such a long wonderful life. I was ecstatic that she left her house to me, but it was going to be hard searching through all of her things. She never had to say it, but I knew she favored me over all her other grandchildren. We always had a really close relationship. It felt like I lost my best friend. I would miss her so much.
