Bio
I've been writing off and on for years; I write short stories, scripts, and blogs. I can't think of anything more relaxing than writing. I also do graphic design.
Stories (89/0)
It's all about 2000 - 2010!
The one decade I have been listening to is 2000 to 2010 because I loved and still do Linkin Park. Something about Nu-Metal helps bring out the creativity in my stories. As a writer, music plays an important role. Not just to help me relax but to help me write stories, design characters, and plots.

Me, finding joy takes no 'time' at all.
While going through the images of Artist "Amber Vittoria," I was having an issue finding the perfect image to explain the little joys I find in life. I am happy to say I found the right image. It is a watch, but not just any watch. Amber Vittoria wrote on her Instagram page Quote: "Time To Grow," a collaboration with @skagendenmark for their new Signatur Sketchable watch is a reminder to seek comfort in the pace at which the universe wants us to evolve, however fast or slow that may be. #mySKAGEN #ad, Unquote.

What a view
When you think of summer, what is the first thing that pops in your head? For me, it’s the beach. Luckily I live close to it. I can walk to the beach; it is only eight blocks from my home. It has been almost a month in a half since I had seen the beach. So, I want to talk about the photo that I took when I went for a walk with my husband, Ian, and my mom. On a Sunday afternoon, the beach was crowded with people and their pets. My husband and my mother were getting ready to head home when I saw “The Huntington Beach Pier” from the parking lot. It was such a beautiful site, almost as if I hadn’t seen “The Huntington Beach Pier” in years. I knew right there. I had to take a photo.

2 funny as hell Confessions
So, you wanna hear confessions, huh? Ok here's two that I have been keeping a secret because it happens at a place used to work at, and I don’t want to say the name of the location because these f#ckers could get mad, and I might get in trouble. So, I’ll call the workplace “Hell hole food place” I worked in the kitchen as a food prep. One of the perks about working in the kitchen, there was a lot of hot guys coming in and out all the time. There were times it was so slow that work would run low so, we would have to find things to do. So, my good gay guy friend (I don’t want to use his name so, I’ll call him “Q” because I don’t want him to get in trouble.) “Q” and I would purposely put quarters on the floor just to watch the guys bend over and pick up the quarters. Me and “Q” would giggle quietly. Ok, so it cost us both ten dollars a week, but it was worth it. I guess you could say we were helping the servers on a slow day.

A one of a kind mutt!
I love my animals; I love cats. They are smart, independent, and have a unique personality. But I never thought in a million years I would ever consider getting a dog. It's funny how animals come into your life. But my dog Rozi came into my life for an extraordinary reason. The year was 2009, and things weren't going well. It was 2009 when the recession happens, and employment was going down. I was working at a temp job that I loved so much, and I was great at it, but I wasn't able to get a permanent position. (I won't mention the name of the company, but I will say the job was desktop publishing.) I got told that many were going to get laid off. That very night my mom came home with a new puppy (Rozi). I wasn't thrilled about the puppy because I was a cat person. Rozi wanted to be around me a lot, but I would just tell Rozi, "shoo, go away." Even my cat Amber (deceased in 2018) didn't like her and would swing at her. About two months Rozi and Amber became friends, and I started to like Rozi. She would comfort me when I would come home crying because I was getting close to getting laid off.

The Anime Expo was awesome!!
During this Pandemic, I am using my time to write my graphic novel, and since I can’t draw, I take a lot of photos and use them as references to send to my artist. While scrolling through my phone, I came across a picture of my husband and me when we went to the anime expo in 2019. I enjoy anime. I love the Content of the stories of the show or manga (Japanese comics). The characters and the design of the characters, and let us not forget the backstories on what inspired the creators. One style of anime, in particular, I not only found great ideas in storytelling I just got in is called Yaoi (it is Boy Love or guy on guy interaction) I remember getting ready to go to the event because it was my first time dressing up to go to the event. My costume was Noiz (Noise) from a Yaoi computer game/anime called Dramatical murder. FYI Dramatical murder is a science fiction and visual romance novel in which players assume the role of the protagonist named Aoba Seragaki. ( I won’t get into detail about it, if you want to know about it, just look it up on google.) Anyway, it was amazing to see so many people dressed up as their favorite characters from other anime shows. There were so many games that were being promoted, new animes in development, and gadgets. There were crowds of people going to booths of memorabilia, getting food, some people would get into character and act out a scene of the show their role was from. It was so exciting. I would take a lot of photos not just to post on social media, but to use as a reference because after we left the anime expo, I went home and got started on my Yaoi Graphic Novel.

I'm always outside, I'm staying in.
During this quarantine, everyone required to stay at home except for the essential workers, which is what I am. I am always out I am rarely home, I love being at home; it is my escape from this world. The room that I call my sanctuary is my office. When you enter the room– The room is small like a child bedroom enough room for a twin-size bed, a dresser, and the child's toys, with one window to bring in the morning light. The color of the room is White as an eggshell; it gives the feeling of a canvass, draw, and paint what you want your world to look. There are two desks, one on the left and one on the right. The desk on the right is long and light brown. It belongs to my husband because he is in Law. His desk is divided with different décor on the right is Star Wars memorabilia and on the left books on Law, and documentation on cases. There are three University degrees hanging on the wall.

Gotta love the 90s
When it comes to writing stories, I look for ideas and references in family events or shows I have watched. I grew up in the 1980s so, watching a lot of cartoons like looney toons and sitcoms like Married with Children and Titus. Watching tv was my favorite thing to do as a kid. As I got older, I came across "Downtown" an animation tv series on MTV. I purchased Married with Children and Titus on DVD just in case my digital videos get deleted are damaged (which they did a year ago, and yes, I cried) I purchased "Downtown" later, I occasionally watch the DVD sitcoms because they help give me ideas for my stories. Maybe I should explain why I choose Married with Children, Titus, and Mtv Downtown. Let's start with Married with Children.

Well, That's my plan! What's yours?
Let's go Shopping at IKEA!!! The first day after the pandemic is over, and I am so going to Ikea to get a DETOLF (A black-brown Glass-door cabinet.) I want to show off all my collectibles that I had forgotten about. I was surprised how much stuff I had in storage bins in the garage—everything from comic books, action figures, plush toys, and memorabilia. I want to show off my collectibles. I am proud to say I am both a nerd and a geek. Oh, and I can’t wait to go to the mall. It has been a while, and I would love to eat a wretzal pretzel dog and go clothes shopping. Don’t get me wrong I could go to Walmart if I need shirts, shoes, and pants. But I love shopping at Hot Topic, for shirts, and other accessories like bracelets, earrings, and knick-knacks. I love the clearance section. Yes, I’m cheap, and sometimes the best stuff is on clearance. But the one thing I truly miss is going to the movies. I love watching the previews before the film starts. There are times I feel that the previews are better than the film itself. I enjoy the whole surround sound while eating popcorn. I don’t know something about munching down on salty buttered popcorn, while some hoy guy getting his butt kicked or a car exploded has a great ring to it.

Music is my source.
Music has always played an essential role in my life. Wherever I go or do, I still have my music with me, especially during this time where everyone must stay-at-home. I am one of the few who got lucky and has a job that falls under the essential category.
