People pleasing is not just doing someone a favour, or being kind. It's someone who doesn't know how to say NO. People pleasers act out of a place of pain, which can cause them their happiness, health, close relationships, and their right to self-expression. Because they fail to set good boundaries, they have their own preferences or desires suppressed. They also have their own feelings suppressed.

Fathers always leave their mark on their children. A father may easily underestimate their importance in the lives of their children, especially during the first few years of their lives, when the child is naturally more drawn to the mother for food and comfort.

When Cancer Enters Your House
I bet that cancer is one of the words people fear most in this world. We are afraid of getting cancer as much as we are afraid that someone we love, might get cancer. I've seen a few family members die of cancer and I know it's not a pretty thing. It destroys lives, ending people's lives prematurely and it leaves loved ones struggling to live a normal life again.

Whenever I see a book or an article with 'the *** way of...', I immediately have my guard up. There is something about it that seems to indicate that the author seems this is the right way to do things. The world isn't so black and white or "one size fits all."

'The Yes Brain Child' – Book Review
A Summary: This book focuses on Interpersonal Neurobiology in parenting. The authors challenge the reader to think of their own physiological response to the words NO and YES. You are meant to repeat NO seven times and focus on your response, and then replace NO with YES and repeat it seven times.

Want to Go Plastic Free?
Now I have to say, I was skeptical about this one, but I bought the one that lasts for 210 washes since you can just buy the refill pellets. I have two young boys and their clothes can get really messy. I was surprised to find that it washed out everyday stains really well, although I have to admit that I still add Napisan to the drum for towels and bedding because I like to disinfect these items.

Love Is All Around Us
When I was in my twenties, I remember asking a lot of people I knew how they knew when they had met THE ONE. My aunt told me about the apple test. She said she already really loved her husband (then not her husband yet), but once he picked up two apples and one wasn't as perfect as the other. Without realising that she had seen him, he took both apples, washed them and then without even hesitating, he passed her the better one of the two. That was the moment she knew he was the best man she could marry.

Fussy Little Eaters
I'm no expert when it comes to food, but I have weaned two little boys and I have learnt a few lessons along the way. My two boys could not be more different to each other when it comes to most things and food is no exception. When I had my oldest, I literally couldn't wait to start weaning him. I waited for the signs and he was ready at just over four months.
