When it comes to writing, words usually come pretty easy. As true as this statement may be everyone gets hit with cinder blocks that may prevent them from creating a masterpiece.
In 2020 it is typically known that the American education system is an absolute mess. From not paying hardworking teachers, to teens graduating high school not remembering anything but that sick party junior year.
There are days in ones life when the world around them comes crashing down. When everything they know comes to a sudden, abrupt stand still. For some these days are few and far apart, they are little known. On the flip side of that coin, these days come often. The dark days sometimes become all that is known unfortunately.
Back in December of 2019 I bought a one way ticket live in Motueka, New Zealand with my mum. I flew out on March 17th, 2020, yes right in the midst of the pandemic that is now consuming our lives.
I confided in you, told you all my fears, my dreams, everything. You let me believe that opening up was going to be okay, that opening up to you was going to be a good thing.
I once held you high,
Put you on top of clouds,
Let you have trophies, medals, and roses.
I let you have so much,
So much I will never get back.
