A Stoplight of Love.
It was love at first sight. Daniel said it from Day 1. He never forgot the first captivating sight of her. Cheyenne. Her coffee-brown skin, red dress matching the color of her Corvette was Prince’s famous song in human form. A gold anklet. Freshening herself in the windows of her car. Her acrylic nails flowing through her fresh silk press. Cheyenne caught Daniel’s eye on the upper deck of a pre-pandemic crowd.

Ava's Phobia.
In the summer of 1973, two little girls rest in the grass of a shared acre of land located on the outskirts of Texas. Ava, a blonde-haired blue-eyed girl, is the daughter of the longest-living family on the ranch. The only child of The Holoson family, well-known for all the wrong reasons. The mere sight of people seethed their souls. Unfriendly. Griffith Holoson moved to the area in the mid-’60s with his wife, Judy. They were the only people located on the acre until their daughter, Ava, was born in 1970. A house was built on the land, angering the couple. Angry letters to the Governor went unanswered, and four separate homes were built on the property. Friendly gestures from the neighbors were immediately shot down. “Good morning's" were ignored and stepping within 5 feet of their property warranted constant calls to the police. The last home to be built belonged to the Smith's, the only black family on the farm. The other neighbors couldn’t care less about the Smith's, but the Holoson’s were outraged.

The first woman, a middle-aged woman named Brenda, runs her hair through her dirty blonde hair, frizzed due to the stress of the last three months. Her sister, Anna, trails behind her. How the Tooth Fairy Failed me.
In 2000, my tooth had been so loose but refused to come out. It was driving my entire family nuts watching me play with it with my tongue. My grandma offered me candy if I allowed them to take it out, I refused. My mother offered to take me to the gas station for treats, I refused. My aunt would allow me to stay with my baby cousin, Jayla, for the whole weekend. Nope. I enjoyed playing with it too much. Finally, it was pushed so far out that my mother overruled my decision. She tied a string from an old shirt to my tooth, tied it to a door, and snatched it out. (Don't worry, I didn't feel a thing. Please don't accuse my mother of abuse!) I was happy! The tooth fairy would be paying me a visit. I kept my tooth in my pocket, placed it underneath my pillow once I got home, and slept through the night.

Life is an Open Book!
My passion has been and will always be storytelling. I could create a story out of anything. I began to like storytelling at the age of Six. Recollecting my earliest memory, I created two characters in my head. My first story characters ever, two boys named “Ball” and “Doll”.
