I never intended to grow up and be a Menopause Chick. When I was in third year of university, I remember a group of fourth-year students surveying our class on what our ideal career of choice was. My answer was easy: I was going to be head of marketing for Coca-Cola. At the time, I was in love with their product, their ads, and the values they portrayed through their advertising. I wanted to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony. Secretly (or perhaps, thanks to social media, not so secretly), I still do.

My cousin Barb had cancer as a child and has been taking hormone therapy since she reached menopause early at age 36.
