The Internet Just Replaced A Lot Of Things, Like Cookbooks
I was browsing through the recipe book section at Chapters when a budget-friendly cookbook caught my eye. It pleased my senses with its colourful cover, smooth and well-illustrated pages, vast content, and the “new book” smell that came from the inside.

His dad taught him the ultimate strategy to have a successful career
I remember reading an article about this elderly Canadian man, a long time ago. He had penned down a beautiful narrative of growing his career by applying one of the most basic and most crucial workplace strategy, told to him by his dad when he was young. Here’s the story as I remember it:

Entering the real world had been an eye-opener for a comfort-zone loving youngster like myself… The true colours of the independent life you’ve always dreamed about as a teenager, finally unravels with it, a life of hustle culture, competition, realities of the workplace, and most of all, the very unfairness of the world we live in! Shrinkflation: Inflation’s Sneaky Cousin!
Have you ever noticed the fact that the things you normally buy are shrinking over the years? Take a look at the bag of your favourite potato chips. Is there more air in the bag than chips? Does the toilet paper seem to run out faster? Does the store-bought cookies appear thinner? Finally, does the packaging on items seem to get more flimsier? Climate Criminals And The Hypocrisy Of Climate Change
It was just last month that I heard that Canada is putting forward measures to ban the use of single-use plastics. Why you must work with a sense of urgency
Long time ago, when YouTube had just gained popularity, I came to read about the Partner Program of Youtube, through a local newspaper. It said that YouTube would pay money to the content creators, when their viewers watch the ads that play on their videos. Me, being a curious teenager, decided to give it a try. However, my peers, and even my own parents, constantly put me down about my abilities to ever make passive income online.

Yes, I’m Addicted to Multitasking
The pace of life has been faster ever since I started to live alone. I juggled between school and part-time jobs in a new country, far away from home and my dear ones. I kept journals, agendas, and sticky notes to list out all the tasks to do: complete assignments, coursework deadlines, test dates, and even household chores and errands like doing the dishes, folding the laundry, meal prepping for the week, grocery shopping, etc. I was made fun of by my friends, but I knew I needed those to-do lists to remember things, as I worked 2 jobs (when most of my friends did only one), and the fact that I’m quite absent minded.
