'NCAA Football 14': OU, Stillwater, and Georgia Tech to the SEC Dynasty Mode Build Season 1, Part 9—Week 6: Tulsa @ #4 Oklahoma
Normally OU-Tulsa is on at least regional TV, but based on the schedule we were given by the SEC, and my picking Texas, Kansas State, and Tulsa as our non-conference schedule, this is by default our lowest profile game and by default the pay-per-view game. Mind you I'm calling it that for our purposes and the logic of knowing our real world, but as far as NCAA Football 14 is concerned it's got a National TV Slot, so yeah us on our Recruiting Grade for Television Exposure. It's always bugged me when SEC teams have cupcake games really late in the season, it never seems to make sense. Early October isn't very egregious though compared to others having it really, really late. The usual excuse is the workload of the difficult schedules, and in some ways I guess we're somewhat embracing this as this is the week before Texas. Tulsa is at least a competent FBS Program. As we go to the week's results oddly the first three games on the docket are games that were played in real life this past week: Utah/UCLA, Texas/Iowa State, and Indiana/Penn State.
17 Game NFL Schedule, How Would It Work?
Now I don't claim to know where the NFL's coming from on imagining how this could work, but here's how I'd do it. And granted the ever-increasing appetite for International Games as well as the odd-number of games I'd imagine this is what they'd have to go with:
'NCAA Football 14': OU, Stillwater, and Georgia Tech to the SEC Dynasty Mode Build Season 1, Part 8—Week 5: LSU @ #4 Oklahoma
Yes as hard as it is to believe, in our created world within NCAA Football 14 this is Unranked LSU @ #4 Oklahoma. A lot of this seems to be down to just how College Football Polls are popularity contests and arbitrary and quirky at times. Losing in Week 1 to TCU, albeit at a neutral site, and also only having played three games in the first four weeks are likely culprits. Still very similarly to the Oklahoma @ Kansas State game in real life this year, we pretty much know that this unranked state is a mere technicality and this is one of the better if not best teams in the country.
'NCAA Football 14': OU, Stillwater and Georgia Tech to SEC Dynasty Mode Build Season 1, Part 1—Initial Setup and Schedule
My first article for this was a smashed together mess when it was archived, and I lost a bunch of the text. I bogged it down with links which probably was the culprit. The majority of which where for winsipedia.com, the best source for college football series history and overall stats on FBS College Football Programs. So here we go again as I reintroduce our series here.

'NCAA Football 14': OU, Stillwater, and Georgia Tech to the SEC Dynasty Mode Build Season 1, Part 6—Week 3 Oklahoma @ Arkansas
Featuring the best player to play for both OU & GB in my time as fan of both for the anecdote, it's a small crowd that only also includes Aaron Ripkowski as far as the Regular Season goes, so it's kind of tie based on Pro Production. But Marshall won the Natty in 2000!!
Fixing FIFA's Tournament Schedule and Ending Club vs International Football Disputes... Mostly
It's no new idea, in fact there's probably been debate about this since the dawn of International Football even in it's earliest 'infringes' on the Club Game at the turn of the 20th Century. Now I'm something of an odd, old soul in that I'm a Country First, Club Second man in a world of Club First Thinking, usually. In many ways my soul still hasn't recovered from wasting 0-0 after 90 and Tim Howard's 16 Saves in Brazil, who just recently retired as the MLS Regular Season Concluded by the way. And when we failed to qualify for Russia, well... it's lucky I had my wife to keep me from complete suicide watch. That Applebee's I went to for access to BeINSport for #ThatNightInTrinidad is on my personal shit/cannot revisit list. For awhile I avoided Applebee's entirely, but you know—two for $20 reels you back in.
'NCAA Football 14': OU, Stillwater, and Georgia Tech to the SEC Dynasty Mode Build Season 1, Part 5—Week 2 Texas A&M @ Oklahoma
It's been absolutely crazy with my day job, well technically I work nights, but yeah. Finally got a chance to play through Week 2, I've got some time off now. So hopefully I can pick up the pace. Maybe even get us caught up to #RedRiverRivalryWeek in time or in time for it to be the next one after the real life meeting. Without further adieu or pathetic Freddy Adu, here's your Week 2 Scores:
'NCAA Football 14': OU, Stillwater, and Georgia Tech to the SEC Dynasty Mode Build Season 1, Part 4—Week 1 Alabama @ Oklahoma
Finally got our Week 1 in the books, and I've been pulling a lot of overtime. I haven't been able to figure out any way to get highlights or still shots off my 360, so we'll just be looking at the box score. First though we'll look at the other scores of Week 1. For convenience sake, I'm just leaving them in the order the game put them in.
'NCAA Football 14': OU, Stillwater, and Georgia Tech to the SEC Dynasty Mode Build Season 1, Part 3—Final Preseason Dope Notes
Conference Prestige Preseason Rankings Determined by Average Rank of the Conference Teams: (since the 2013 Preseason Poll NCAA included in the game is overriding the Strength of the Roster for the Top 25, this will be much more accurate at the bottom than the top, but still, I said I'd include this).Big Ten: 9.3SEC: 10.5ACC: 14.5Pac-12: 19.5Big XII: 48.2CUSA: 50.7Mountain West: 61.3MAC: 77.7Sun Belt: 94.8Six Flags: 95.3Out of curiosity, I decided to calculate the Average Rank of the Independents just to complete the table and it's 83.7. No real surprise as Texas is the only Power five Independent, and for the recruiting itself, the game adjusts to what each Independent Scheduled for that Grade. Now I know I promised the Preseason All-Americans and Heisman Watch, but apparently that's scripted in the game as well. As a Backup QB from Texas A&M is the 'leader' in the Heisman Watch, likely a Johnny Manziel stand in, and Tua's little brother is a Preseason All-American LB despite, you know, being a Quarterback. #Bonkers. Just regular programming flaws I suppose. If they'd have known we'd have to be playing the game this way the past six years they'd have probably included the pick a playoff format in Dynasty Options, *long sigh*. Which you can't say they've never had it before; it was on ancient NCAA Titles in the 90s I've only heard about. NCAA 06 was my first.
'NCAA Football 14': OU, Stillwater, and Georgia Tech to the SEC Dynasty Mode Build Season 1, Part 2—The Conferences
I'm going to kill two birds with one stone and list the teams in their Conference Outlook Order, so you can get the games predictions for how these Conferences are going to shake out at the same time.
My 23 Man Manchester United Squad
So I was trying to come up with my best possible 23 man, Manchester United Squad I've seen play on TV. It's a unique history I have with my sports supporter story. As my dad was an American Soldier based in Germany for Bosnia Tours for a few of my toddler years, my first chance to see United was on our British Channels in Germany. Ironically we didn't have any way to watch the Bundesliga, despite living in Germany, but we did go support our local team, VfB GieBen in Germany's Regional Divisions from time to time. I was very lucky getting introduced to Football before Gridiron Football. I love both, but it's an uncommon story for sure. So I was four during 96 to 97, which would've been the season, but being that young sadly I don't really remember that much 'til the Treble Year when we were back home in Oklahoma. So if your wondering where's Eric Cantona, that's the exception I'm making. I must have technically seen him play, but I was too young to remember so he's not in this team. That saves me one tough lineup decision, but there's still plenty tough choices to make. I'm going to use the squad numbers one to 23 and try to use numbers the players wore at some point in their career.
