Movie Review: 'Shiva Baby'
Shiva Baby is like watching an anxiety attack in progress. That’s not a negative. The fact that the movie so well embodies what it feels like to seemingly have the world crashing in around you, unable to breathe or escape, is impressive. As someone who has had his fair share of panic attacks and anxiety, I related deeply to Shiva Baby in tone if not in the perspective of the lead character, Danielle, played by Rachel Sennott.

Movie Review: 'The Unholy'
The Unholy is a wildly frustrating movie. The film is quite good in so many ways and quite silly and impossible in others, thus why it is so frustrating. Star Jeffrey Dean Morgan is so interesting, effortlessly charismatic and has that kind of shambling, messy, handsomeness where going unshaven could be lazy or a legit fashion choice. Because of Morgan’s appeal, I wanted The Unholy to succeed. Sadly, the silly is too silly for the movie to survive.

The Top 5 Cary Elwes Movies
Actor Cary Elwes has had a strange career. Pegged as a leading man coming off of his breakthrough performance in The Princess Bride, Elwes never popped as a leading man after that film went down in history as one of the most delightful family movies of all time. After that came many high profile roles in big movies but Elwes receded into character actor roles rather quickly for a man of his leading man good looks and proper English diction.

Movie Review: 'Nobody'
Hutch is a rather diffident fellow, a serious normie, on the surface. Hutch's life rarely changes from day to day. He has a routine like clockwork, a seriously boring marriage, on the brink of collapse from the weight of apathy, and two normie kids. It appears, again, on the surface, to be a painfully normal existence. And yet, something in Hutch’s manner causes you to wonder about him. His workouts are rather intense for a man whose life is spent behind a bean counter desk.

10 Unique Chicago Cubs Collectibles Available on EBay
Baseball fans looking to find rare and unique items for their mancaves take to EBay regularly to find decorations that can’t be found anywhere else. Memorabilia is a billion dollar industry and EBay is a popular spot for fans to find the kinds of items that make for conversation pieces and status symbols among fans of many baseball teams. With that in mind, I thought it would be fun, being a massive Chicago Cubs fan, to create a guide for Cubs fans looking to find the best and rarest baseball collectibles to lord over fellow fans and establish yourself as the king of baseball fandom.

Movie Review: 'Six Minutes to Midnight'
England has been turning out some terrific spy movies lately. Recently, Benedict Cumberbatch brought the story of Greville Wynne, the most accidental of spies, to the big screen in the remarkable thriller, The Courier. Now, Eddie Izzard has brought another piece of English spy history to life in the new drama, Six Minutes to Midnight. This time, rather than the Cold War, we are back just before World War 2 with war between England and Germany inevitable and a group of school girls in the balance.

Check Out these 10 Weird Products I Found on Amazon!
People buy millions of different items from Amazon.com. It really is as if the company has any kind of product that you can imagine. With that in mind, I began to wonder what the weirdest items I could find might be. It didn’t take long for me to find a treasure trove of the bizarre and fantastically tacky items one might find on the world’s largest online shopping marketplace.

Movie Review: 'The Spine of Night'
The Spine of Night is an epic animated adventure for an adult crowd. It’s a throwback to the 70s and 80s when animated movies weren’t always made for kids. The Spine of Night uses the freedom of animation to tell a sprawling and violent story of an ancient power struggle between natives of a forest and the growing forces of power hungry conquerors more interested in subjugating the masses than in creating a future for society.

Movie Review: 'Triple Threat'
The new millennial musical, Triple Threat is debuting at Cinequest and is likely to delight those that give it a chance and don’t stop at the words ‘millennial musical.’ The much maligned millennial generation is now of an age of introspection and they are beginning to examine their lives as Gen-X’ers like myself did and the baby boomers before me. And it will happen to you someday to Zoomer, when you start feeling nostalgic and introspective.

Movie Review: 'I'm Fine (Thanks for Asking)
I’m Fine (Thanks for Asking) was co-written, co-directed and stars Kelley Cali as Danny, a woman struggling to keep up in the wake of the death of her husband. Unable to keep up with the mounting bills, Danny finds herself and her daughter, Wes (Wesley Moss), sleeping in a tent on the outskirts of her L.A suburb. In order to protect her daughter, Danny has told Wes they are camping and then moving to a new apartment.

TV Review: 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: Episode 1'
What is the first image we see in the first episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier? Is it Sam Wilson heroically wielding the shield gifted to him by Captain America at the end of Avengers: Endgame? Is it the awesome sight of The Winter Soldier, Bucky Barnes, crushing some baddie with the super strength in his bionic arm? Perhaps it is Sam gliding through the air with his Falcon wings??? Nope, ironing. Literally, it’s Falcon ironing a shirt.

Movie Review: 'Justice League: The Snyder Cut'
Joss Whedon and Warner Brothers really screwed up. There are no two ways about it, trying to turn the D.C Universe into a snarky, bro-ey comedy universe was a bad idea. As much as it pains me to admit it, treating the D.C Cinematic-Comic Book Universe with seriousness and dignity is the right approach. Yes, it’s a silly comic book movie but it works best when you are able to, in a way, treat with respect.
