The Frightening Events Found to Inspire The Amityville Horrors
The Amityville Horror has been a popular horror film for many generations. Children like to scare each other into watching it; however, not everyone knows that the horror is based on two real-life experiences. The incidents happened to two separate families. The house which is the lead character in the film has been renovated considerably from the one we see on the screen. Many of the external shots for the film, being shot at the actual location. The Amityville Horror house is now known simply as 112 Ocean Avenue, Amityville.

Afghanistan a Refugees Story
Three years ago, I was lucky enough to spend an hour a day with a young man from Afghanistan. I gave him additional help with his English to help him with his GCSE’s. As a teacher, I have never spent time with any student who worked harder. He was also one of the politest lads I have ever worked with. Over the year we were together, he told me stories about his country. These stories spring to mind and break my heart when I watch the news at the moment.

Ten Amazing People with Autism
I remember when my daughter was diagnosed with autism. The specialist told us as if she had announced a death sentence. To help us through the transition, she gave us a leaflet that detailed three famous people who had autism. Have to say they weren't the greatest selection to make you feel better.

I Never Realised Before I Came Out That ....
There are many things over the years that I have become accustomed to since coming out. Some of them have caused me many sleepless nights. Some have made me and my partner chuckle. In my innocent mind, I never thought any of these would be an issue.

How to Encourage Your Child to Give You Eye Contact
As parents, we all look for those little milestones. Milestones such as first smile, convincing ourselves it wasn’t wind. Eye contact is another milestone that is heartwarming for a parent. It is also one of the social factors that a child on the autism spectrum (ASD) may find intimidating.

How to Improve Your Writing with Simple Steps
When I started writing I devoured every article I could on writing. I was desperate to improve my writing and start bringing in some extra cash. One of the myths contained within writing is that quantity is more important than quality. I disagree, quality writing will keep readers coming back to your writing. Too many poor articles and people stop reading, regardless of how many you publish.

To My Amazing Sister
I am not sure I can put into words how proud of you I am. When you qualified I was proud, I told anyone who would listen how my sister had taken on the most amazing job ever. A nurse, someone to look after the elderly when they are sick. You started nursing so you could be a midwife. Then the incident happened during your training and you decided midwifery wasn't for you. After that, many would have hung up their fob watch, but you didn't give up you just changed disciplines.

My Pioneering Grandma - A Woman Before Her Time
This year as the pandemic raged throughout our care homes, my grandma became one of the people who could add their name to the death toll. When she passed she was not the same woman. It is wrong to say her leaving was almost a blessing. Dementia has eaten everything that was her, away.
