We all are different and unique in our own way. We have our own ways to deal with anything that comes into our lives. Similarly, the way we meditate and focus varies. We barely think about meditation and walking as something that goes together because usually when we think about meditation we tend to think about it as something we do while sitting down. Here I am going to share my ways of mindful strides.
Will I ever meet my soulmate? This question strikes in the mind of every human. Many people anticipated to find the right one or soulmate. The peoples' urge to find the right soul mate within a short period of time never allows that person to realize the amount of time he is spending on the dating sites. Looking at some well-chosen photographs displayed on a person's profile and trying to understand them through their cool looking captions that they probably copied from somewhere else takes a lot of time. One estimate suggests that users spend an average of 22 minutes each time they visit an online dating site (Finkel et al.). With the hope of forming romantic relationships, the person goes on online dating sites which offers access to almost two billion potential partners, but only that person knows the satisfaction of finding someone like his/ her thoughts.
Letting go someone is not easy and trust me it is even harder when that someone is a person you have always loved and idealized as Mr. Perfect. You must be thinking why is this girl saying letting go someone is hard, but her title says otherwise. Well, I will let you guys decide on that because sometimes you have no idea about what can make you happy.
Mental health is one of the most important aspects of living a healthy and happy life. Although being one of the most important aspects of life, it is connected with several stigmas. But what actually is mental health? Mental health is the physical, mental and social well- being of an individual. It might not seem obvious, but mental health affects the way we think, feel, and act. The way I see mental health is very similar to the idea of “Auto-immune diseases.” In auto- immune diseases, our own immune system mistakenly fights against our own body. In the similar way, with mental health problems, our brain is constantly fighting against our own thoughts.
How many times have you failed? What's your greatest failure? You probably have never thought about these things, right? Failure is one of the most uncomfortable topics to talk or think about. It directly affects our mental and physical well-being yet no one likes to talk about it. Give yourself some time and think about your failures for a while, and please don't be hard on yourself by saying, "I have never actually failed in my life," because we all know every one of us has failed at something at some point. Failures can be as simple as not being able to complete your plan of waking up early the next morning to study for your test or maybe not being able to keep up with your plan of joining the gym. Some of us might have failed a test that we studied so hard for whereas, some of us might have failed to keep our relationships alive with our significant other, our friends and our families. It's okay to fail not only once but several times and also in several aspects of life. Even when we know failure is common, why is it so hard for us to talk about it? Also what makes us think that we as humans need to be perfect? In my opinion, failure is something that needs to be discussed more often and more openly.
