Bio
Hey there. Welcome to my page. I have recently started walking out the path to writing my first novel. To allow myself other creative outlets, I’ll be using this to post some poetry and short stories that may or may not be in future novels.

Is this Comedy?
I have always wanted to see some sort of comedic drama. Almost like an old satirical play. Something that deals with something tough and possibly traumatic, but also allowing for laughter. Stand up comedians tend to do this very well but I have never seen it in a series. Here is the concept. You have this man, Craig, right? He lives with his 4 roommates in a house. Cindy, the sweetest woman on the planet who is like the house mother. Ralph, the guy that is always up to something seemingly criminal. We aren’t ever sure what he’s doing in his room, but he has a habit of getting Craig in trouble. Barry, who is the righteous person in the group. Trying to keep everything in order even when he has to be mean about it.

Goosebumps
The phone began to ring at the office of Louis Trotter and was answered with a click. Handling the phone in one hand, and paintbrush in the other, he said, “Hello? Yes this is Louis…Of course, I’ll be right there.” Then after a couple quick brush strokes onto a notepad, Louis grabbed his belongings and made his way out of his building to his car. The Legacy Auction house was a new destination for him. Louis was an appraiser and authenticator of fine art. He had been to auction houses before to authenticate a piece before the auction was held, but this was the first time he was invited to the Legacy. “It seems that I’ve really come up in the world,” he muttered to himself before pulling up to the building.

My Father
I was very fortunate to have such a great father. My childhood wasn’t perfect, but I do know that I had all the love in the world. The early years were filled with fun and games with my dad. We watched our favorite shows together which taught me to have a love for fantasy and science fiction. I wasn’t overly into sports, like my dad was, but we still bet on games. When my team won, I got to go to Chuck E. Cheese and when his did, I had to give him a foot rub. Thankfully the vikings weren’t doing too good those years.

Pre-History
All I have ever known is the call of the hunt. Me and my family chase large beasts around for food, while foraging for fruit and vegetables in the wilderness. We seem to be always on the move, in a constant cycle of building up camp and taking it down. It has been like this generation after generation. Shockingly, I have come to recognize patterns that no one else has seen. As we travel, I noticed that the beasts tend to follow similar routes. It seems random at first but once I noticed it, it can’t be unseen. Call it luck, or maybe even the gods, but I think I have found a way to stop having to travel all the time.

Heir to the Phoenix Clan
My family has always seemed strange to me. As I grew up, I could get the sense that there was something being hidden from me. Not necessarily anything bad, just a secret that I didn’t seem to understand. Another strange thing is that everyone seemed to be born on one of two days. Everyone older than me had June 21st as their birthday, while myself and everyone younger than me had December 21st as their birthday. As I got older, I saw more and more of my cousins born on my birthday and just saw it as normal until I was in school. Apparently my family is the only one that this phenomenon happens to.

Secret Sociopath
Laying back on the cool, leather couch in a seemingly all beige office, Alice began to weep. James slowly looked up from his note pad and asked calmly, “Let’s go over what happened from the beginning, alright Alice? Now you said you and your fiancé broke up. What would you say led to this event?” Through short sniffles, Alice began, “Well I found out a terrible secret. The man is a sociopath, and clearly a spawn of the devil. I couldn’t stay with someone like that. He’s pure evil.”

Some Glitch
It happened so quickly that I’m unsure that it was real. One moment, I was walking down the cold streets of New York City. The sound of construction. The smell of hot dog water. Then, for just a moment, I felt sand give way under my feet. The warmth of the sun on my face. The sound of waves cashing in front of me, followed by the scent of salt water. For a moment, I felt like I was on the beach of some paradise. I just told myself to keep walking. That it was a glitch caused by stress.
