fire flies
What a climactic way to end such a fun weekend. I'm glad we got out of the house for once. All that time we spent in the house was really worth it. It just made me realize how much I wanted to be outside with my friends. On the drive back home, we all joked about the fire and the bear. We didn't see it as a bad thing. These are stories we will tell our kids when we get older. Can't wait for our next trip. And as much as I love the thrill, we are definitely avoiding campfires.

9. The fire trucks finally start rolling in. Sirens screaming through the campsite. They bring the hoses out and start spraying down the fire. And about 2 minutes later, we all hear a loud boom. The other two rangers come up the stairs and inform us about the bear.

7. As if the burning forest around our campsite wasn't enough, that bear we saw earlier showed up. And it didn't look too happy. The bear started roaring at the top of its lungs and began running through our camp. Tearing down the tents, trashing all of our belongings, and looking ready to attack us. We start sprinting out of there. We gotta find the ranger station. That way they can call the fire department to come put out the burning forest. And maybe neutralize this bear because it was still chasing us through the forest. Where are the rangers.

4. When we wake up the next day, we cooked up some breakfast. Breakfast really refreshed me. That cot that I was sleeping on was slightly messing up my back. We all went fishing after we got freshened up. Another beautiful day. Molly caught the first one of the day. It was a big one. We caught a few more for eating. There was a bear in tree woods across from the pond. But it was far away so I didn't think too much of it. We took the fish back to camp and prepare for a fish fry tonight.

5. Start up a new fire for the night. Tyrone also fired up the grill. Molly helped prepare the fish for frying. I cut up some potatoes for fries as well. It was a good night. The fish was spectacular. I don't know what it is about it, but I think the fact that you caught the food yourself it just taste so much better. Ty brought out the drinks so we could celebrate and get lit. After about 30 minutes, Ty was rowdy and he was just knocking stuff over. Little did we know he knock over something very dangerous.

6. Something strange woke me up out of my sleep. It was the middle of the night. I smelled something burning. Oh my goodness, it was the most shocking site all weekend. All the trees around us were on fire. Ty had spilled the lighter fluid near the campfire. Somehow, it caught on fire. And it lit the trees on fire. I had to wake Molly and Tyrone up. I don't know how they were sleeping through that. It was just sheer panic. We didn't know what to do. We really gotta find a way to get out of here.

3. As the fire is roaring and the night is growing darker, we start to get the skewers out. I'm so ready to roast these marshmallows. I've been craving these smores all day. Molly tells the first campfire story. Well at least it was supposed to be scary. Me and Ty started clowning her so bad.

2. Molly is a tad bit scared of the dark. So when the sun started to go down, she started to get very antsy. But she doesn't need to worry. Because the fireflies are starting to come out. I guess they were already out, but now that it's darker we can see them. We brought some jars. Molly gets up and goes to catch some fireflies. Tyrone starts the campfire because pretty soon it'll be pitch black. And we gotta get some smores action going on. Tasty, scrumptious, chocolate marshmallows. Everything is actually going pretty good. So far so good.

1. Last month, my friends and I planned a camping trip. We rarely got out of the house during the school year. Understandably, but I just feel like there were a lot of missed opportunities. But now that it is summer, there shouldn't be that many restrictions on our time. It was just gonna be me, Molly, and Tyrone. We head to this campsite that's about 30 minutes from where we live. Pretty little wooded campsite. Me and Tyrone start to set up shop. Pitching the tent was probably the easiest part of the night. Just keep reading the story.

9. Brunch with the guys was pretty chill. Had some laughs with them that I haven't had in a long while. We go to this birthday party for one of my friend's sister. That was going to be a good time. Basically everyone in town knew her. So basically everyone in town showed up. The party went on into the night. and little did I know, my friends had prepared a surprise latern lighting for my love. Had a whole candlelight vigil set up as well. I know she's looking down at this with her beautiful smile. Good to know I wasn't the only one who loved her.
