Kaur
As a Sikh woman, it is the act of giving selflessly that keeps my soul full. As a Sikh woman, I have been taught to give rather than receive. I share what I have and consume it together with my community. Where others have become victims of ethnocentric behaviours, my culture taught me how to make selfless giving my immediate friend. I am a product of ancestral struggles. My parents are from two different lands, and I am the bridge between them. The visions they have for me, it is my job to breathe into existence. The language they have taught me has provided me with more job opportunities. The stories they have shared with me, have softened my mentality. The very name I have been given, Kaur, unifies me with every other sister of colour around me. My culture dignifies me, it provides me with the endless opportunity to prosper in a world lacking authenticity. As an American, there is a struggle to feel free. But as a Sikh, I set fires just by being. It is being abundant in culture that give life more meaning.

Nobility in Compassion
Forgive yourself, for the way you treated you. Forgive yourself for stabbing you in the back, and allowing the shallow love of others to define the capacities of which you are able to harbour love within. Forgive yourself for overlooking your own value, simply because you were conditioned to. Forgive yourself for not showing you the love that you needed, and for resorting to believe you must require it from another soul. Forgive yourself for blindly trusting in your love for others, and for abandoning the potential of harvesting love within. It’s somewhere in the process of completely destroying yourself and fixing yourself, that you got a hold of and in touch with the abandoned version of you and let go of your inner sins. The one that’s been calling for your help each time you forgot to forgive yourself, begging you to forgive her. She’s calling, asking for your validity. “Love me. Recognize me. Have trust in me.” That’s what she needs. She loves you in deed, but you were too lost to see. Holding a mirror up for you to see, she reflected the lights within you consistently. As you release the hate and distaste you hold so dearly, lights shine within thanking you for clarity. Forgive yourself darling, for the woman inside you wants more for your wellbeing.

Note to Self
Note to self: your relationship with yourself sets the standard for every other relationship. So please do not do a disservice to others by pouring from a cup of emptiness and self hate. Please show up as your highest self and serve from a place of self love and compassion. How you do one thing, is how you do everything.. so please remember to take it one step at a time, be kind to yourself and to strive for progress and not perfection. Time heals all wounds, so remember to trust in the divine timing of the universe and trust that god is able to show up for you. Trust in your higher self and allow her to be authentic and unapologetic in herself. Reetu, you are an incredible person and I am proud of your journey and to have achieved so much growth and to be able to experience a profound amount of happiness to have energy coursing through your mind body and soul. Baby your vibe attracts your tribe, so remember to be raw and transparent with who you are and allow your healing energy to attract what is made for the best version of you and nothing less. Have the power to say no to anything that costs you your peace and happiness. And continue to be mindful in the way you speak to yourself as well as others. Speak with intention. Speak from your heart. Be true to yourself. Respect others without limiting yourself. You are incredible and I have high hopes for you. You have a universe within you. Everything you have is already within you. Recognize that. Embody it. Embrace it.

The Death of a Woman
Between you and I, There is a major disservice done to women. The salvations of our pride.. relying merely on our self sacrifice and an overly generous amount of service to others. Our beauty determined by how well we are able to appeal to the eye. Our worth determined by placing one self in the hands of a man with no tasteful motives. His words smooth like butter, causing a heartache that no indefinite amount of tums can soothe. From woman, man is born. How can we do this to them? How can we destroy the one thing that loves us most? Between you and I, there is a major disservice done to women.. Our lethal intelligence, disarmed. Between you and I, there is a major disservice done to women, from birth we are taught to not love one self more than others. We are made to protest our self love. We are made to question our abilities. We are made to heed to the needs of others. We were made with no intentions to truly embrace ourselves.

Note to Self
I am deeply humbled by the healing process. This experience has taught me much about myself, to explore myself and my triggers and to establish what resonates with me and my soul. I have learned to stop externalizing my happiness as well as being able to slowly but surely love and appreciate myself. This experience has taught me much about trusting in the universe and it’s ability to work in my favour and guide me towards strength and compassion. I am truly thankful for this beautiful experience with my self and my being and being able to indulge in self love and self care to its fullest. The universe works in magical ways and has provided me with much opportunity and resources for growth. This is a time of awakening. Eating consciously, moving consciously, speaking consciously has all impacted my connection to my mind body and soul and has provided much synchronicity and balance. I am deeply humbled by the healing process, to have gone through hell and come out an angel. It is essential to not do a disservice to others by pouring from a cup of emptiness and self hate. To show up as my highest self and serve from a place of self love and compassion. How you do one thing, is how you do everything.. so I must remember to take it one step at a time, be kind to myself and to strive for progress and not perfection. Invigoration
Like a sunflower she grows through dirt, rich in nectar and stronger than when in. Like a lotus she is enlightened from within. She does not compete with the growth of others left and right of her. She blooms independently, effortlessly, and without grim. Water is her intuition, her saviour and her kingpin. Like two fish, she lies in confusion, opposite directions to be pulled in. Compassion for her enemies, that’s how she wins. The seeds of her youth, planted dreams to go win. She continues winning as long as there is time and space to swim. Her conscious as vast as an infinite ocean. With peace and stillness everything within her exists. Momentarily, the waves become unruly and unhinge. But she mastered the art of controlling the oceans within. Where the sky meets the water, that’s when she’s most tranquil; her beauty brought out to its utmost potential. The heart of her soul, in nature it stems.

The Purpose of Homo Sapiens
I have an unruly desire to be better, to be uplifted, and to be rescued from the condition of my own thought created world. I believe that as a human I am made up of every little imperfection; that I am identified far beyond my physical appearance and moreover identified by much deeper and soulful characteristics. I am on a journey to seek not only refuge, but genuine peace and happiness in this so called reality of the world. I believe that I have a right to own my own god damn place in this world, that I am entitled to an identity and to a living. Many beings often question why we are here and what the central meaning of life is, but to me I believe that we are here because we have a purpose, and we are given a chance to create a central meaning of life to each their own. As Homo sapiens I am set to believe that life is given, not created. On this journey of life you are set to create yourself, identify yourself, and to give your life a central meaning of its own.

A Forsaken Humanity
To live on valued energy is to love one another and denounce the state of vanity. Virtual reality, confining our personalities. Chasing likes and comments over the heart and soul of humanity. Desiring one another’s downfall, like Tom and Jerry. A few of us as smart as bugs bunny. But all of us hiding a secret hunter like mentality. Living oblivious and losing sanity, what has become of humanity. There’s no loving without losing, they say. But how does one live so fruitful anyway. My brother, my sister we say, but enemies they are at the end of the day. An eye for an eye, transactions upon transactions we make. Never humble enough to give and not take. How do we overlook what is at stake, and give to one another even though we may break. To build a bridge is more valuable than what is at stake. How do we repair humanity and the goals it creates. Forsaken has become humanity, how do we save it’s sanity.
