The Switch Up
To your right, see people working themselves to death, People avoiding their reality, to your left, A means of an escape that is its own trickery,
The devil is in disguise, I would of never thought it was you, Maybe it was the exit signs I missed, in my rush to come through,
Take Me Home
She stamped out her cigarette, the last plumes of safety escaped between her lips as she called out to hail a ride. Her body shivering, as she clambered into her midnight chariot. The driver asked where ‘The Miss’ would like to go to. She answered the driver, her tone as cool as the nights air. Her directions led them to the main street, in the light away from the back alleys and tom cats. The car travelled along the road, street and shop lights danced over her face, as she took in the night.
Suzie jumped onto Chads back, her legs wrapping playfully around his waist, as her body intertwined with his. The pair laughed as Suzie playfully kissed and caressed Chad’s neck, oblivious to the audience that was scattered around them. The group that surrounded jeered and shouted at them to get a room, to move anywhere else that was out of eye and ear shot…For the mental health of everyone there, for the love god and all things holy.
My Perfect World
Looking up from my cup of tea, admiring the milky sea between the cupping of my hands. The morning mist nestled softly between the mountains, not quite meeting the ground nor the sky. “Is that how ghosts feel when they are in limbo?” I ask myself, taking a sip from the warm tea. Gazing at the visual, trying to needle the thought, that gave my mind such a question. Cuddled on the porch swing, in a soft warm blanket, this morning view, this tea and a few cigarettes is the perfect way I like to start my day. Some days it might be just one cup, maybe two and a varying number of cigarettes… Depending how long I want to linger in this moment, somewhat like the misty clouds also in limbo.
Bek's Chinese Vegetarian/Vegan Extravoganza
I am blessed enough to have been able to travel around most of China with my father and step mother, we both have a love of food and over the course of the last 15 years have tried many of the delicious local foods and delicious treats the people and places have to offer. There have been a few standout dishes that have really stuck with me over time, becoming my favourite foods which I crave and miss dearly. I feel very humbled to be able to experience a different culture through marriage, learning about traditions old and new through different generations of my in lawed aunts, uncles, grandparents, siblings, cousins, friends old and young I have met along the way. Being welcomed into a culture has been an amazing experience, learning through the hearts of others that have carried on through the tests of time, something I will forever be grateful for.
Under The Lilly Pillys
Janette trudged slowly through the Mangroves, the squelchy earth collapsing under her feet. Every step she took the sand, now reminiscent of quicksand, pulled at her feet, encasing and wrapping around her calves like a burrito. She looked up from the ground, the light from a clearing caught her attention. The Mangroves became a Mangrove, the trees starting to thin out, opening up a magnificent vacant circle of even, cream coloured sand.
The Dawn of the Feminine Energy
Taking a look back on history and really dive into the nitty gritty, its apparent where we have gone and where we are going as a society, and where we need to head as a unified humanity. Over the last hundred years and the start of humanity that we can consciously understand has been ruled by masculine energy, however by masculine energy that isn’t healed, whole or united.
