Mind of the Writer
The ideas in my head are turning, spinning, whirling, Yet my hand is still... The golden sun rests on the blank page Majestic scenes and great feats hang in the air just out of reach
Ideas are steam; developing dreams Procrastination stares; writer's block dares Sparkling spirits; darkening demons Packages of powers; secrets to be devoured
Where I'm From (Poem)
I am from chocolate chip cookies baked in my grandmother's kitchen; from the lemony freshness of Pine Sol and the rustic scent of my Grandfather's cologne.
Peace: A Sonnet
Can you tell me why the world is this way? Harsh words, sad scenes, and slowly beating hearts Do we not care what it is we all say?
It sits there in that house of horrors basking in the surreal calm. Its voice rings out alerting all of its dignified purpose, but what was its purpose now. It pondered on this realization, but cast it aside its purpose was unchanging despite being ignored. They lay before in stillness perhaps waiting for something that it could not comprehend, but in such an odd way they waited. It couldn't see them twitch in their sleep as he had seen a few times before when they took a nap on the sofa.
Do you ever need a simple quick appetizer that would be suitable for children as well as a hit with the adults? What about those with restrictive diets? Ham Roll-ups are quick, simple to make, and doesn’t require much in the way of prep time or ingredients. This recipe is also nut, shellfish, egg, and gluten free. It does however contain dairy, meat, and possible preservatives. However, I have included alternatives to help those with more restrictive diets (vegan, organic, kosher, soy free, dairy free, low sodium, budget friendly, etc). Depending on Diet this can be considered a Low Calorie Recipe. Feeds 5-10.
Witchy Wanderings (Chpt 3)
When I returned to the shop I wasn't surprised to see the front was empty. No one would wait for a bookstore to open in the cold when it wasn't tourist season.
Witchy Wanderings (Chpt 4)
When closing time finally came I raced out of that cramped shop with my haul of blasphemous books to Joshua's parent's restaurant. I was famished and I pitied the poor soul who would dare come between me and my crab Rangoon's. The restaurant wasn't too far from the bookstore and was always busy even in the winter months, but I never had to wait for a table. Having awesome friends had it's perks.
