Emotions
Ever since the moment that we took our first breaths, our lives had been filled with emotions. Emotions that determine the way we eat, dress, and talk, but also the way we study, interact with others. Most importantly, the decisions we make on a daily basis, that shape our identities. It is not easy to admit that sometimes we tend to focus on ourselves too much, to the point that we lose our ability to learn from our mistakes and grow. And once we start to compare ourselves to the people around us, we become unsatisfied with our own achievements. We have focused so much on our physical health this year, and left mental health on the back burners.

Hesitation
I have indulged myself into a lot of hesitation recently, to the point that it has become a habit of avoidance. And you all know too well what it would lead one to, a rabbit hole of excuses. An adequate amount of rest is essential for one’s survival, however, an excessive amount of rest would turn into a drug that prevent you from moving forward. I know that this year has been excruciatingly difficult for the type of growth that we are all accustomed to, but despite all the fuss around feeling limited and trapped, it could also be viewed as a year of inner growth.

Taking a step back now is a step forward in the future.
Have you ever felt trapped in a conversation or within your inner thoughts? Like, always trying to find someone or something to blame for your sadness or anger… It can be quite a difficult situation to untangle yourself from, and sometimes everything just seems so bleak and hopeless. But instead of accusing and blaming others or even yourself, I have found that it would also be more helpful to shift my focus from the “why” to the “what”, in other words, to let go of the past and focus on the present. That is no easy task and takes a lot of courage and humbleness to observe your inner self.

Haruki Murakami and his magical world of literature
Let me start off by saying, that this is in no shape or form, a critical or in depth review of Murakami’s works, after all, who am I to judge? Not even the judges of the Nobel prize for literature dare to say they have understood Murakami’s world of storytelling enough to give him their recognition after all these years, for goodness’s sakes! All jokes aside, it seems obvious to say , that the way Murakami chooses to portray his characters and his ability to draw the readers into the worlds that he has created through “1Q84”, “Kafka on the Shore”, “ Norwegian Woods”, and the most recent masterpiece, “ Killing Commendatore” , has helped him become the industry giant as he is at the current stage within the literary world.

The culture of victory over failure
On the topic of success and failure, many would often be stuck in between. We are all on a journey of seeking the true value of ourselves, and during this conquest we often find ourselves stagnated by the idea of possible failures. Is failure really that bad? Of is it something that can help us grow out of our comfort zones?

What does “self care” really mean?
2020 is definitely a year where we are all thrown onto the wagon of uncertainty regardless of our own freewill. Despite the many heart breaking moments of this year, we are still hanging in the midst of this storm. We were so used to wake up to know exactly what we plan to do for the day ahead of us. We are accustomed to be in control from the moment that we are born. But there are so many things not in our control in life.

To all Harry Potter fans
I will never forget the firat time I saw the boy with the glasses on screen , it was “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone“ . I had the movie poster hanged on the back of my bedroom door, and just fantasized of receiving the admission letter at the age of ten. I became a fan by watching the films first, then I turned to the books just as the forth book was being published worldwide.
