Metamorphosis
A twist in the wind, your lungs empty, head filled with helium. Have you ever stopped to watch every part of the sky? There's the way the sun forces the black night sky to fade into a blush before it even arrives. Then once you can see it cresting over the edge, it'll blind you for another hour or so.

A letter for Dad
So here we are. You had a funny way of showing it, but this is what you would’ve wanted. I can’t help but feel like you knew. Your last bit of sanity was left for me. Your pessimistic attitude and apathetic, nonchalant actions were screaming louder than any words.

So here come the clouds.
They laugh and taunt as they float past in the sky. They know we need them and savor their presence. They float on by. The trees bare their twigs, stems, and branches, growing fragile. The cold air leaves a chill that burns the core. Scraping against each other, bending, and creaking against the wind.

Autumn winds and cloudless skies
Midday in the middle of October, There’s no traffic down the street, and everyone is busy. Looking up, you’ll find a cloudless sky after so many days, wondering if the sun will grace us. The sun will warm your skin but ever so slightly always be out of range.

A picnic for one, please.
I've made this decision to take myself out on a date, a picnic in fact. A picnic for one. I'll pack my favorite lunch and a bottle of wine. A good book in the midmorning sun, or maybe an evening sunset. Whatever I choose to do or when I go, it'll be bliss.
