Everyone torments their younger siblings. We do it because we can. We do it because it's fun. But mostly, we do it because we hate having to share everything with them, especially blame. It doesn't mean we're vicious monsters, though.
It's Stephen King! He doesn't need an intro. A household name since the early 80s, and a staple in the horror community. The creator of IT has brutally carved himself into the hearts and minds of people all over the world. From cosplayers, to cartoonists, there isn't an artist alive who hasn't paid homage to The King.
There was a time that I didn't actually know how to speak out loud. I had the capacity, but I lacked the strength.
You probably know who I'm talking about. That guy you saw today at the red-light. Or the one you ALWAYS bump into at the gas station in the morning.
Blood, guts, demons, or ghosts, the content doesn't seem to matter. People can't enjoy horror films the way we once did. And it's our own fault. Thanks in part to social media, we experience a near-constant stimulation of the reward-center in our brains which could easily be a leading factor... BUT the causes might even be simpler than that. More often than not we're turning to streaming sites and their original shows for our horror fix, but we're still here, still craving shivers. With over-advertising from production companies, overwhelming music, and chaotic realities, humanity at large is unable to enjoy horror these days.
