Why pineapple belongs on pizza.
I love pizza. I love it so much that I would happily steal the last slice off my flu-ridden wife's plate as she blew her nose into a snotty rag. In the past, I have even cleverly sliced it up in such a way that I get way more than my young kids without them even realising. You can call me a bum and terrible father if you like, but I don't care. I knows whats I like and I will do whatever it takes to gets it.
Home is passion, desire, and love. Home is salt n vinegar crisp sandwiches, warm chocolate mud cake, and the smell of fresh coffee in the morning.
The Transfer Disasters of Liverpool FC
November 6th, 1991. Liverpool Football Club were facing off against French Club Auxerre in the second round of the UEFA Cup at Anfield. It is a night that will go down as one of those, not so rare, special European nights in the history of LFC.
No ambition. That is the claim being thrown around by Liverpool fans right now about The Fenway Sports Group, the club's American owners after another quiet transfer window. In the past only signing one player during a summer would have been seen as a success given that boss Jurgen Klopp already has a team full of world-class stars at his disposal. However, when the reds faithful see their closest rivals spending big on some of the greatest talent in the world after a season where their own club was ravaged by injury it's easy to feel their frustrations.
The Pear Trees of The World
For years my family has cared for you. We have seen humans thrive and fall. We have seen your savagery, your lust for power, and your hatred of each other. We have seen great teachers come to spread the word of peace, love, and unity only to be sacrificed, crucified, and ridiculed. We then heard you use their names and lessons as an excuse to spread anger, cause divisions and, commit atrocities. And still, we were there for you.
Fear & Selfishness
Fear is spreading. Fear that our rights and freedoms are slowly being stripped away. Fear that we have come to a point in history like never before. Fear that this could literally be the end of the world or simply life as we know it. I hear people continually claim that we are living in unique times with disease, economic and social issues, war, and natural disasters seemingly commonplace. YouTube is full of spiritual mystics predicting something big is coming, that all of this negativity is leading to an endpoint, a big change that we all need to be prepared for. And I see it. I can see that a huge shift is in place. However, this is nothing new. We are not at a unique point in history and not as special as we all seem to think we are.
Are Melatonin Supplements Safe For Regular Use?
I was about 15 years old when my high school maths teacher said that to be successful I would need to learn to survive on just four hours of sleep a night. It was a baffling comment for me to comprehend as any less than seven hours in the nest would see me rock up to school in a daze, unable to focus and unable to retain any new information. It was a comment that also led to a crazy 25 year love hate relationship with sleeping. On one hand, I still enjoyed my eight to ten hours snuggled up in the safety of my bed dreaming about weird and wonderful things. I knew all along that this is what I needed to function, this is when I felt my best. However, there was some serious guilt that went along with it. Over the years I found that this innocuous comment from my teacher was backed up by self help gurus and sports stars exclaiming that sleep was a waste of time. That I needed to grind more than the next person if I wanted to get ahead and to do this I would need to sacrifice my precious hours of slumber.
The two most overrated horror flicks in history
I used to hate horror flicks. I could never get my head around what enjoyment people receive from being so scared they have to watch the entire film through their fingers or from behind a pillow. I remember my daughter once hiring The Strangers with her friends for a sleepover only to fast forward parts and watch others with the sound down before spending the rest of the night scared that someone was in the house trying to get them. Money well spent or what?
