Rick wraped the tape mesure around his waste as he looked at himself in the mirror. He'd thought back to last week, good enough, he had to at least be passable. Rick looked at the tape mesure frustrated, an inch, he'd only lost an inch. He peered at the medication he'd been taking, slight anger filling his heart as he chucked it back in the cubord. sleepiness, light headedness, all for what? an inch.

she looked around the wide space of white around her, panic filled her brain as she sat on the ground. where was she? who was she? John, where did John go. she stood herself up wandering the wide feild of white around her. A group of men sat in the white, two playing a never-ending chess game. two playing golf, one sat alone turning the pages of a blank book. Vivian tapped the man's shoulder.

That morning Brian got up, Toad's sleepy face by his side as the two got ready for the day. The only one who knew what was happening around them. Brian found himself unable to stop staring, from the moment they got up, to when they got on the bus. Luke tapped Brian on the shoulder, a cheery smile on the boy's face.

Brian looked into his mother’s casket. A living breathing person, reduced to a stranger in a box. Brian’s dad kissed his mother's forehead as he burst into tears. The rest of that day was a blur as Toad and Brian skipped past the memory as the greed and guilt was too much. Brian found himself staring at the Current bus driver who looked at him with sympathy as he found his seat. Luke patted Brian on his back doing his best to comfort him.

The echos in my mind
The streets are guided by lights, some red, green, yellow. Similarly, our brain is guided by lights, ones we are in control of. Telling ourselves to stop, slow down breath, then go. Why God gave some of us three green lights is beyond me. Three green lights can make a living hell from a simple moment.

Rick couldn't believe it. he won He actually won something didn't feel right though, should he have won, did he really want to get married? it was all moving so fast. Beverly smiled at Rick her sweet voice echoing around him.
