I have found my safe haven, my spirit world. I followed the ghost into their past. Their clues showed me my future. The golden gate closes softly. How do they know how long until it opens again? The ripples make peace between the boats and water. The school of fish forms a line for food. When it's spotted the fastest one gets a meal. How can they tell the fish, how can they tell that people watch them? Amazed by their color. Live for their taste. Ripples. One problem can cause a shift to all. Nature and its multiple colors. The shades of blue to green. The blend in contrast to the most opposite colors. I need this place. I have found my peace.
A relationship between black and white people have always been proof that friendship has no color. It's about personality and understanding of each other's cultures. I come from a community where the majority are African American. I only ever had one white friend in my whole life. To see how quickly I made friends with people that don’t look like me; it’s a relief. I go to a college in Providence. The black to white ratio is way different than in Philadelphia. I was aware of that when I applied to go there. With everything going on in the news I have created an irrational mindset. The mindset that I would automatically become an outcast. That I would have to deal with racial slurs and social inequality. Of course, some of you may be thinking “Miss, don’t you think you’re overreacting?”. Providence was a stranger to me, so I prayed that it would be welcoming.
Am I just an empty mountain to you
As an out-of-state college student, money has always been an issue. I have figured out that living off campus is a lot cheaper. When I say a lot, I mean 30% less than the original price. Anyway, this isn’t a story about living a cheap college life. It's for living off-campus while keeping all your limbs intact. You will think, "When should I start working on this?" It's smart to start immediately after the thought comes to your brain, you don't want to waste time. This will take up a lot of your time, trust me.
