There's so much from Stephen King as it is, so it's easy to miss even the most obscure. Part of the reason for that is the fact that many get plenty of press, lots of sold tickets, interviews and hoopla. Whereas others are just back-burned due to being under major development or limited to a particular platform. Hence why you have to read up on this! Take notes. Prepare. And.... Perhaps subscribe to those streaming platforms?
Of course, what you're looking at is just a fan poster. But we can dream. Still the headline isn't as much of a pipe dream as you might be thinking, because there is some truth behind the madness. Here's why:
King is quite the philanthropist. And Bangor, Maine, loves the King family to death (and undeath) given how much the household of horror has contributed to the community. Count this next story within the accolades of the master behind IT and Pet Sematary:
Who knew the Addams Family would be so popular, even after Raul Julia, Anjelica Huston, and Christina Ricci gave it sex appeal? And more popular by turning it into a CGI animated flick?? We had that with Hotel Transylvania. Still we can't complain. The film killed it in the box office with the panache of a Pixar movie (and it looked it, too), and there is now word that a sequel's on its way.
Don't get me wrong: I get the willies from zombie clowns, Pennywise-s, and certain Violators of a spawn-like comic book hero. They're the stuff of legends and horror, but ultimately we have to remember one thing: it's all fiction. The truth is we often get much more scared at the clown walking down the street in the middle of the night than we do a demon in a sewer drain with a red balloon.
That may be a stretch. We may be exaggerating. We're not, though. When you've got clout, tremendous backing, a history of making great films, and adaptability to branch out into everything from action, to drama, to even comedy, Sylvester Stallone is the cream of the crop!
